    Default Operation Get to 5k

Ok so i decided to start an operation. Ezduzit, a good friend of has convinced me to start one. He helps me out with some of my hands as they come up via aim. My operation goal is to get to 5k.My starting bankroll is 650.I will be doing this operation on Pokerstars. I will be playing 25nl and mixing in some 50nl sessions when i get up to levels like 700-750 because i think its essential for me to take shots. Yes its bad bankroll management but i have a drop of zone of like 600. As for background on me i have been playing for about 2 years. I started on Pacific poker and have went to sites such as ultimate bet, fulltilt, bodog and pokerstars. I have played mainly sngs but have since moved over to cash games in the last two months. Mainly thanks to the help of ezduzit23 who has been coaching me. If your ever interested, hes a very good coach(im not sure if he wants to coach at this time tho). So,The first month i played all full ring and just this month have decided to switch over to 6max. I have done pretty well at it i will post my Pt stats for the month of august so far. Like i said i will be probably taking some shots at 50nl. So we will see how that goes other than that feel free to comment on whatever......

    Default Terrible Start

Ok so started out the session got stuck like 10 earlier, then got up 25 over 250 hands. Took a break to get somethin to eat. Came back and got up 15. then bad stuff started to happen. Here are some of the HH's.

ok so heres the first one
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1421140
pretty standard till i get raised on the turn. I really cant see myself being beat there but i am a little worried so i elected to call and check call the river down. i dont see him just calling the flop and turn with just an 8 so i wasnt too scared of that river. when he bets 6.50 on the river i was thinking back to my thought on the turn that he might have the staright with 910 but i guess i dont see him calling pot there with that hand. i ended up just calling and it was a mistake but it was kind of a tough spot.

    another big hand, pretty standardish
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1421190
here im trying to get this guy all in pre flop. probably better of setting him all in pre flop instead of what i did. but it seemed a little too much. as it happened i dont think i can fold ak there and am pretty ok with the flop play.

this hand just overall sucked, hate the big blind and tough spots it gets me into where at this limit ppl just limp everything follows and i see the flop and hit this vs what i was up aggainst.
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1421216
the flop was very bad for my hand and i ended up paying him off so...

last of the death hands for me
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1421228
i think i should have just potted this flop and then prolly went over his check raise on the flop. idk why i called. very shitty play by me.....

here is one of the good points of my day and helped me from being down anymore. btw i dont know what this guy was on.
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1421246

ok so overall that was a pretty shitty day for me. im a little tilty so im gonna stop and play some tommorow. down 12 isnt bad for all the shit that happened. i ended up playing 820 hands. yea pretty bad start to this operation but it should get better soon.

    Default day 2

ok day 2 went a lot better than day 1. a lot less frustrating and a lot easier situations. Played about 800 hands and got up 32 dollars. Played 4 tables for the majority of todays hands.

only had won significant pot today. Its pretty standard but ill post it anyways.
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1425122

    well thats all for today

    Hey tb,

Just looking at your PT stats, i think you are probably continuation betting too much. I would suggest not c-betting as often on some of the more coordinated flop textures, and avoid c-betting without some sort of hand if there are more than 3 players going to the flop. If EzDuzit is still working with you on your game, he can probably help you analyze flop textures.

    Good luck with your operation!

    Default Wow

Yea thanks vi-zero0skill for the advice about the high flop aggression factor. I talked it over with ez and its that high because i probably dont call enough with some hands i should on the flop and i just throw away and yea i probably c-bet too much but i think the high inflation of that number is due to lack of calling bets on the flop.

Ok on to my day. played 4 tables most of the day. Ended up playing 750 hands. I ended up down 55, a one cooler and one 55-45 to the same guy. Probably my worst day of 25nl 6max ever. pretty shitty overall just stuff like raise pf and get check raised and ended up having to fold it. But thats supposed to happen over a small sample size so....

I had one big pot pretty standard ended up stacking some guy...
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1428861

this pot couldnt really do much about....
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1428865

lol same guy as hand 2.. cant fold a flush after i see him push pair plus oesd 2 rotations or two earlier
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1428866

here it was pretty unlucky what he hit on turn but i think i might have made a mistake by calling his turn min raise and the worst river card came. anyways i thought i could get some value out of hands that had a 10 in them and other hands he could have called with. i should mention hes a really bad player that was leading q5 into 5710 in 5-way action so...
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1428872

well that was my day not very good. this operation is going into the red which isnt good but i ll be able to dig myself out of this soon...

last hand, i dont really like the turn play and i think you should have bet more on the river.
  7. #7
last hand, with TJ I generally want to keep pot small if playing a pair however when flop came T high reckon you r ahead, illain called pot sized bet so either it helped him or he had it beat anyway. Ace on turn is scary maybe for both a bigger bet here would have said it helped you if he called you know you are dead and save the river bet, the J didnt improve you enough
  8. #8
ok so i had a few days off from poker. got a lot of things accomplished before i started classes again so it was a nice break after some rough sessions.

came back and played 630 hands and made 32 dollars so not bad. Everything seemed like it was working and i was pretty comfortable with everything that was going on.. big difference from my last session for sure.

didnt really have any interesting hands to post...

almost out of the red for this operation so thats good hopefully i can make some progress on this in the next week or two.

    Default The secret is out

Ok somehow Pokerstars found out that i hate money and like to run bad and shit so they granted my wish as follows:

so i played 1200 hands tonight overall for a total of -28 which is pretty good considering all this happened.

I played like 600 hands before i had to go eat and i ended up 18. the only hand that sucked was this one.
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1450265

im actually gonna show one hand i really botched imo
this guy was like 29/16. i think i shoulda check raised here, def coulda raised pre flop but was oop so that was just bad overall. i lose value from hands he could c bet here and instead im just raising and not getting called by anything i dont beat. so baaaaaad play here
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1450278

ok so that was the first session went off to eat and when i came back....increased by profit on the day to like 35-40 and then went to shit right about here...

this is really hard for me to get away from right here so i kinda had to go with it on this board
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1450283

again i play a hand really badly with jacks. just call preflop???? and then the check call is bad i think i think i have to raise and as played prolly check raise or just bet out.
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1450283

this hand is just shitty and theres not much i can do about it. im thinkin he has ak also or maybe an aq but he had ak and the fd so whatever...
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1450296

this hand just sucks idk what he was doing but i guess i like it in the longrun.. but right now with all thats happened its just a minor problem.
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1450303

so that was the bigger pots i lost tonight kinda sucked for putting a lot of time into it but im ok being down about a buyin cuz i dont think i could control it really most ppl have to lose in those spots....

so yea i should be back playing tommorow...

    THINGS ARE TURNING AROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So real terrible night for me. played 540 hands and lost 37 dollars.... I dont really know what to say besides i hate poker...not really but lately.

started my night with this hand thought this was prolly good i didnt think i was behind and i think i was ahead of his range...
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1453830

another example of where things went bad, i thought i was drawing but really i was kinda ahead once i got to the turn and the worst river card came.
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1453836

another hand where this guy didnt know what was going on but he loved to gamble so he backed up into this and i of course with top 2 payed him off
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1453843

ok so after reading this ur prolly like yea running pretty shitty lately. Heres the last hand enjoy, it was my biggest pot ever at 25nl and i decided to show on the post about it. btw read the chat because the guy took 10-15 seconds to make this decision....

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1453843 Why such a small bet on flop? Also, do you think worse hands are calling your all-in overbet shove on river? I really like your operation as I am in a somewhat similar situation so it's great to try to see someone succeed at the levels I am at.
  13. #13
yea about that, previous hands i have seen this player playing bad/loose. ex this hand 1-2 mins before ex.
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1453912

well there your proof of the facts stated above and i felt my hand at that point really cant be hurt that much on that flop and there isnt a lot of turn cards that scare me completley especially aggainst this player. and the river bet wasnt an overbet. the pot was 9.25 on the river and i put him all in for $5.90.. so not really an overbet

he caught it tho... i dont mind my play really on any of the streets..if he has that being the bad player he is im gonna pay him off...

    Default finally.....

well i took a few days off but came back and had a really good day up about 81 dollars. I played 500 hands overall. The first 400 hands were pretty dry with no action then it heated up.

ok this guy is an unknown so i check raised flop to get value out of hands he c bet and out of hands that i beat. then i check called. i guess i dont like it mainly cuz it was kinda a big bet but i called anyways thinking i was most likely ahead. then i hit one of the best cards and checked it, im not really sure how you would play this vs an unknown oop but i elected to check and call a bet and probably never raise, he ended up raising all in and his whole betting pattern led me to believe ak aq at worst i was up aggainst on the turn and seeing as the jack came i beat both of those so i eleceted to call and he flips up 56suited. lol ty this guy
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1467735

this hand i had a set vs tptk and i think the way it was played he made a pretty big decision on the flop where he just called. when u call there i dont think u can really get away from it after investing that much. you have made ur hand. the hand is not drawing. so i think that the queen was meaningless on the turn and the money was going in most likely...so good think happened for me
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1467755

so here i dont like this guys play really. i think that any hand that i personally am 3 betting on this flop with has him beat.. aa,kk,qq and all sets, probably nothing else. maybe if the guy was a lot shorter than maybe 10s, most likely not tho and i held up...yessss
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1467765

so yea nice day for me back out of the red for the operation so thats nice..ttyl

ok so only played like 400 hands today for like plus 16. played for a lil over an hour but got really tired so just went to sleep. Im overall pretty tired cuz of classes and i rarely get enough sleep before going to class..

here is one hand i had where i flopped a set and it ended up he hit two pair on the river and i stacked him
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1471960

thats basically it seeing as i played a limited number of hands.....

Default idk why lee jones hates me so much?

so i prolly played the longest session ive played all month which was like 1200 hands. didnt go to well got a lot of 3 bettin my way and a lot of check raises.. a few coolers but it wasnt anyhting too bad...overall i ended down 12 dollars or somethin like that... here are some of the hands....

it started off pretty good with this hand... wasnt really scared of kq and pretty easy decision to get the money in here...
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1475183

it was a weird pattern that was going on i would stack someone and win a big pot and just lose it right back...

this hand the way it was played i felt like im ok calling this here cuz im ahead a lot and yea he does have the kings and aces some time too but at this limit i think a lot of weaker hands are doing this aggainst me.
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1475191

so then this hand came up and this guy called me out of blinds and turned two pair and i figured that my aces were still good on the river and decided to put him in....
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1475203

end up winning it back here flopped aces with diamonds and he had tptk and was drawing slim...
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1475203

this hand i really dont like to fuck around with and thats why i stacked off here on the flop and he had top two pair...
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1475217

i like the way i played this one even tho i lost the hand. reasons being that by slowing down on the turn it made it a call a bet on the river thing rather than its prolly getting all in if before than and losing money. as is i lost and here it is.....
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1475228

this hand was a decent pickup for me. pretty easy decision to not re-raise the river mainly cuz i never am gonna get called by anything that i have beat...
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1475238

absolutley played this one shitty, i think i really need to slow down after this turn....
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1475240

always have to bet this hard when u make a set into a suited board and the nice river card convinced to call my allin after calling down with the nut flush draw.
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1475245

here was the topper at the end of the night. options of being up or down at the end of the night and it ended up lee jones hates me again...
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1475250

pretty rough night had a lot of hard decisions to make in pots that i didnt even show on here and ones that were shown. only down a half buyin which is good considering i think i didnt play the best game i could play...anyways i should be at it tommorow .....

    Default Long Session

i played for about 4 hours yesterday. about 1100 hands. down about 19 dollars. it was really bad im not sure if i played my best but i know i ran into a lot of bad things and a few coolers to get stacked with..heres some of the hhs

so this is pretty standard, set over set cant really do anything about it
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1484843

this hand was just a cooler i guess, really really hard to get away from
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1484855

this hand i didnt have much a choice but do stick it in, i was definitley debating to bet the flop but i decided to check and let him hit a higher full house.
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1484871

i was down like 75 at one point and worked it back to like only down 19 by the end of the night. so not was i expecting but it wasnt as bad as it could have been so im ok with it...

    Default RUNNING SHITTY

yea well im running shitty. played like 400ish hands today. got aces 3 times which is lucky considering u should get them once every 220 hands but i got them three times. thats where it stops lol. i lost all 3 gettin stacked in all of them....

    just shitty
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1490354

im like 55-45 on this but still lost
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1490359

idk this is like the only hand he can have that im losing too and of course he stacks me when i have aces, seems to be a trend

    pretty shitty lost 73 dollars

i think i played this hand pretty well until the river, i dont know if that was the proper bet size, if anyone has any suggestions, feel free...

ok thank god im running better today. played like 550 hands up about 64 dollars which is like 22.8 ptbb/100. I had a few difficult spots early but then won two or three bigger pots near the end of the session that were really nice after all the losing ive been doing.

ill post a few of the good hands...

usually im not 3 betting ajs from the sb like ever but this guy has raised the past few hands and i thought a 3 bet could get him off most of his range, i hit a flush and extracted a nice ammount
    http://www.pokerhand.org/?1503469

pretty standard here although it seems like ppl have been showing up with sets and overpairs here a lot lately its nice to be ahead...

idk what this guy was thinking but im glad he was thinking that...
