Another problem in my poker journey is the lack of time. I probably haven't played 10K hands since the summer...
I would love to play 1500-2000 hands/week but its just not possible. I have 2 kids under age 4, work full time and take a university course for upgrading. Its tough to find enough time to play without letting something go that I should't let go (studying, house, kids, wife etc...).
Something I have also decided to do is to make better use of the tips and strategies that are found at this site.
I find that just reading them on the computer isn't a great way to let the material absorb so I have printed many of them out and put them into a binder. I put dividers in there to separate the files and I have a nice 3-ring binder full of poker notes.
I have also read HOH vol 1-2. I made notes on each one and am now typing them out to print off and put in my book as well.
I am also reading H on Cash Games vol 1 and will get vol 2 after. I wil make notes and put them in my book. I unfortunately don't get a lot of time to play poker so I need to make sure I keep up with reading and try to let some info soak in.
Once my new daughter is sleeping through the night, then I can stay up later and be awake and play poker for longer sessions. I have decided that once this starts, I will begin multi-tabling 2 tables to start and then go to three etc...Hopefully I can get to six and play without missing whats going on.
I have only played one table since I began playing poker. I don't mind the slower action b/c I find it relaxing (bad beats aside). However to increase the BR, I will try and increase the number of tables. I think I have been able to figure out the action fairly well and take note on who the maniacs are, who limps in EP with AK and who never raises until the river holding a set, who is ultra tight...things like that.
I am hoping that a jump to 2 tables will not be overwhelming and if I can get to 4 tables, I would have a nice shot at playing 400 hands in a session which would be nice.
