    Default Operation Goofy Grind

    Hey all,

So I've decided since I really don't need any more money for the next year (but more relelvant is in the next month i guess), I'm going to grind purely 200nl this month. I will allow myself to play some 1knl HU and 6 max when the games are good.

Pretty much I'm going to play a really goofy style where my standard raise preflop is a 2x the BB. If you want any explanation why in god's name I would do this feel free to ask, but to be honest it's probably not the best way to play at those stakes, but could be the most fun!

I'm also going to game select only the tightest tables out there. I'm not going to reveal anything else in this strategy on the off chance someone may read this who I am playing. So just wish me luck, and I'll try to update as soon as I can.

    <3<3,

Hmm, its probably not a terrible idea if you cant find loose games to instead find the tightest ones possible rather than the least tight of a tight bunch.

normally I read your posts and wonder how I can apply the thoughts within to improve my game. Not this time, I think running 50-40 would break my roll...
    Have fun smashing those nits!

should be interesting. u should post your stats up every once in awhile too. and poker ev graphs.

My prediction is that waiting lists will be 6 deep of regs, all trying to get a piece of that lucky shmuck who runs like God...

Wow 2k day in 2k hands. Thats pretty sick. 22ptbb/100! Yeah not sustainable at all, played so bad at the start of the day but played really well tonight.

My W$WSF right now is 57% and I can't see that getting an bigger. I'm already going pretty batshit insane as it is.

Btw im not going to explain this strategy at all until the end of this operation if at all because it'd be telling people how to beat it and im not going to do that.

This is a really cool idea and I look forward to your discussion on the results after this is over.

Hotter than I have ever run right now.

+3.3k in 3500 hands, that is about 24ptBB/100. 24. That's just unreal. I'm going to do an EV graph and see how everything looks, I'm betting I'm running a few buy ins above expectation. I'm interested in seeing how far my W$ without showdown is higher than W$@SD.

    so rigged...
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?
  15. #15
Wow, I predict you will pawn tight players who dont adjust properly.

    a) they don't adust at all - you make uber profit blind stealing and cbets
    b) They try to play a wider range more aggressively, increasing their variance and taking them out of their comfort/skill zone against a better opponnent.
    c) They do what I do to adjust to loose min-raisers who are over-aggro post at low stakes which is to isolate them & then play a loose passive post flop style often only revealing strength with a river raise on all but the scariest of boards.

Would be interested at the end of the month what you think the best counter strategy is when your done.
Currently thinking of a new quote/signature... Some sort of prayer to the Poker gods for enlightment etc..

Alright was doing super well this morning but then ran bad and was "only" up 3 buy ins in about 1.6k hands.

So totals are now 5.6k hands, +4.6k.

Did a Poker EV and It says I'm running about 1.5k above expectation, which means instead of 20ptBB/100 im running more like 14ptBB/100. I'm a little shocked from this EV graph.

    http://img403.imageshack.us/my.php?i...6425041hh5.jpg

One thing I was surprised by was that even my sklansky bucks line was in the green. How is that possible? I also notice my Won % W/O showdown is pretty low, only about +222. I'm pretty sure I know whats going on but again I'm not going to explain anything yet, if at all.

    Wow soso sick.

I love how you didn't black out W$@SD.

I think this is really more of a tribute to how well you lagg it up and not that much of a strategy thing, though.
  21. #21
Are you just running good, have that large of an edge post flop, or people are just not adjusting to your play?

thats sweet though man, hopefully you can keep it up(for awhile)
