Default Operation- I will give up before I finish it

A little short history about me:
I have been playing poker online for about two years.
It all started a long time ago (Jan 04) I went to U of I and played Holdem with some friends and turned a 10 dollar buyin into over 100 in a few hours. Seeing how I was the best poker player ever, I decided to try this online stuff.
Anyways, I lost 100 in fewer than 100 hands on partypoker. Since then I made apx 2.5k. I have had incredible swings. It is not that I am a bad poker player, I am above average (duh who would admit that they aren't), it is that I have no bankroll management at all. So on to the Operation, titled in accordance to my complete lack of discipline.

The enter goal for this operation is as follows:
    (I) Play within my Bankroll, defined as 20 max buy ins
(ii) Make 5 grand in the next 11 months so I can afford to get Lasik-eye surgery.

    Progress:
    1000 2/5/2006
    1141.5 2/5/2006
    1076.5 2/6/2006
    1177.5 2/7/2006

All gaming is done on poker room and empire poker.

    Any suggestions are always appreciated.

Don't play for a bankroll goal. Determine what your average winrate has been (or what you think it should be) and play a number of hands each day that will keep up with your goal... whether you win or not. Sometimes you will have huge winning streaks and feel invincible, but that just means you have a huge losing streak waiting around the corner for you.
Good luck. quit playing your results, and just start playing the cards.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

Um, aren't you breaking rule #1 by playing NL200? Stick to your original plan and play NL25 or NL50 until your rolled for the next level(I'm assuming your counting 1K as your starting BR). Playing catch up at higher levels then your BR supports will likely cause you to lose it even quicker.

Yeah It is breaking rule #1. So today after 10 hands i stoped.
I lost 25.85, got drawn out. I felt like tilting but instead of making it back i decided its better to just quit for the day.

    BR:818.85

Thanks for keeping me on my toes aces.

Anyways After cooking diner and relaxing i went abck to play for a little while. Did better.

Don't change your strategy. You have to be patient and that is something I've had to learn (and re-learn). Just keep making good decisions and playing within your BR and you will come out ahead. I hope you are still on the 25nl tables.

changing your strategy is a part of learning process. If you learn somethign doesnt work then try something else, if that something else has a purpose. Like my strategy was to raise every non-suited one gapper from every position well it didnt work at higher tables so I stopped doing that.

Don't focus on the short term. Just play 10K hands while continually analyzing/reading/posting HH's. Things can go fast. I won 1K in the first 5 months I played poker; 6K in the last 3 months.
