Your bankroll # really only dictates what stakes you play, so as long as you have between $300 and $750, you should be playing $10NL. There should be no shame in dropping down to $5NL if need be. Just ask yourself if you like playing poker and are you playing well? I personally like to play poker and I get the same satisfaction getting pocket aces or a set on an uncoordinated flop or stacking off two villains at once or saying villain's hand out loud before showdown and being right @ $10NL equally as much as @ $2NL. BR is not too bad but May has been a swongy-as-hell month with $500<BR<$600. Right now I'm at the lower end. I've got a little over 100k hands at 10NL so it's a bit frustrating to be stuck in neutral and not getting any closer to 25NL. After 2.5 months I'm no closer to 25NL than I was when I started this OP.

I considered withdrawing $200 for vacation just to get something out of playing but then reconsidered but I can't remember why.

I'll just keep grinding along.
