The reasons for a daily stop loss are largely related to tilt management and discipline, which from reading this thread are qualities that would suit his operation and most other players well. Sure, technically, if you lose and move down, it's not a problem IF you are playing optimally, but let's face it, MOST players are not playing their best when they lose 5% of their roll. Many times they probably weren't playing their best on their way to losing 5% in one day and then when tilt sets in, it can be a dangerous spiral. Learning to walk away is a valuable skill and you build it into bankroll management so you don't have to think about it.
It's just my opinion, but he's tried NOT using a daily stop loss several times. Let's try USING one and see what happens. If you or anyone hits their stop loss, poker will still be here the next day.
