Operation: PLHE Domination

This here is my first blog on FTR. I've been around off and on for a few years as I find Poker more of a hobby, playing here and there whenever I fell up to it. I've decided to make it my "second job" as I finally found my game.

A little history of myself: I've started on PokerStars at the microstakes levels, moved my small BR to HoldemPoker, and then when Bush signed that stupid bill, pulled my BR out and kept in on hold. I then moved it to FullTilt playing my $300 or so BR on $10NL, $1SNGs, $2SNGs, and $5SNGs. I couldn't win anything worth crud. I was losing in nearly every single level (except $1SNGs ). My BR came down to just over $200. Had to rethink for a moment.....

Then it hit me..... I remember back in the days, I was dominating in Pot Limit at one time. So, last night I opened up all the $10PL rooms (was like a dozen or so), let my PT runs for a bit, pulled up the PokerAceHUD, and sat down at two tables (eventually went to four tables for a bit where I began to expierence a downswing). Then, little behold, I must of found the biggest DONK online. Had something like a 87/2 per PT. I made like $40 of this "gal" as she kept reloading like crazy. She was calling big bets with King high. In the meantime I was running like 18/11 most of my 400+ hand session.

I ran my PT over a 24 hour period (something like 13K+ hands observed), and little behold, only two people were rated as TAGGs (one was myself ). You won't believe how many Showdown Muppets, Fishys, Weak-Tighties, and Calling Sations there are on FullTilit $10PLHE. I looked at the $10NLHE ratings and was astonished on the big differences between the two.

So now, I am on a mission. I found my niche once again. Time to be a dominating player in PLHE.

MY VISION: My year's end, I will dominate pot limit ring games on FullTilt having a consistent upward trend of my BR. I will move up each level to the highest level of PLHE as my BR allows it.

I'm not setting a certain limit to achieve as far as win rate, ending BR, etc. I only want to have a consistent upward trend of my BR. If I achieve the highest PLHE level on Fulltilt by years end, then so be it.

I'll post some hand histories, graphs, studies, etc. over the course of my mission and update each time I am ready to move up/back down a level.

I have played alot of PLHE on Party & Stars, and I have to say I find the tables a fair bit fishier - the multirocks tend to avoid the PL tables for some reason. Also the player pool is much smaller, making it easier to develop reads.
