Default Operation: SnG + BR = $$$ Increase?

Fortune500s Operation manager inspired me to make one of these, why the heck now. Anyway, some background info:

I started playing poker maybe 3 years ago when I was 15 or 16 and I had absolutely no clue. I got my ass rocked online for a few 50$ deposits after watching WSOP on espn and deciding it looked fun to win money. I continued trying to win to no avail, playing on and off with 50$ deposits here and there untill I turned 18.

I realized some very important things after being stubborn for way too long, such as proper BR management, avoiding tilt, and just generally better concepts about playing.

Earlier this year I decided to give poker another try with way better self control and paitence to avoid tilt. I deposited 100$ on AP and hoped for the best. I quickly was down to 41, and decided I -really- needed to buckle down. I decided to (sigh) grind the 2.40 SnGs on Absolute and build my BR the right way.

Anyway, a few months later, my BR sits at about 650.00. I have just started trying out the 20+2s after doing fairly well at the 10+1s this month.

Here are my states since Febuary:

    85 Played at 6+1 with a ROI% of 11.63
    67 Played at 10+1 with a ROI% of 28.58
    15 Played at 20+2 with a ROI% of 52.73

    Profit: $453

My Goal is to grind up the SnG levels untill my BR is $2.5

I'll post some hands in this thread everyday I play like everyone else does, hopefully some of them will be interesting.

    Update 3/10:

I killed the 20+2's so far today. I've been kinda steaming for some reason, just in general a grumpy mood. I Really have to work on my table manners, as I completely flipped on two donkeys who critized plays by me that were sooooo standard that I was just amazed they didn't understand the reasoning behind it. (Things like pushing as shorty with big blinds, how do people at 20+2 not know these things?)

Anyway, so I'll ad a new goal. Do not curse at people at the poker table or call them a donkey. Be a nice nice nice guy at the table. I don't know how I can quantify something like that, perhaps Tantrums / 100 Hands?

Anyway, back to the games. I logged 16 Tournaments at the 20+2 level since yesterday, and did really really well.

In 16 games I cashed 11 times with 3 Firsts, 6 Seconds, and 2 thirds.

Obviously I did not fair well HU going 3-6, but over 9 games I am not going to worry - I feel my HU game is pretty solid and I'm not concerned as of yet, although I'll keep an eye on it.

My ROI for today was 89.2, although over 16 games I am aware is very inflated. Profit of $341.00, some of which I donked off at the 3.00 Rebuy MTT, leaving my BR at $880.00.

Since HU seems to have been my achilles heel today, I will go over my HU historys and post some hands in a little while to get some comments.

    Update 3/10 number 2:

I've played 12 more sngs tonight at the 20+2 level. I continued my success at this level by cashing 7 of tese 12 events.

And I was able to rectify my HU failures from earlier by finishing in first four times, second once, and third twice.

My bankroll has now climbed to 1,112 - well on my way to my goal! I am very hapy with these results so far!

I have to go pick my girlfriend up at the airport, and I will review my hand historys tommorow morning from todays sessions. Hopefully theres a few interesting hands in there.

    Update: 3/11

This will be my last update for a while. Im transfering my bankroll, which is now at $1,308 - which I am pretty happy about. I requested a check so this make take a couple weeks to get everything sorted out, and I am looking foward to a break after running well, to re-ajust my mindset.

I had a pretty shitty morning, I did something that now seems pretty dumb. In fact, it is really dumb. Since I was transfering my BR I decided to leave $160 on Absolute and just go nuts with it and make as much as I could... Things were going well. REALLY REALLY well. I made that 160 into 700 within a few hours.

    My mistakes:
    1. Deciding to do this in the first place.
    2. Not taking that 700$ out with the rest of my BR.

But whatever, I'm an idiot, and decide to stick with my "lol lets win monies1!!!!!" plan, and I end up in a HU hand vs. a guy who has $1,700 at the table. I get dealt 33 in the BB, he raises 3x the BB, I call. Flop comes 2c 3c Ah, I check. He raises to $50, I re-raise to $200, he insta-pushes All in, I insta-call, he shows 4c 6c. You guessed it, he hits his flush and I'm a fucking idiot.

Anyway, this last week has been crazy. I ran so good and built up my BR, and have now suffered a setback due to my dumbass idea that was bound to fail. I have aboug $1,300, and I will take the next week to refocus my game, and more importantly SELF-CONTROL. (My achilles heel).
