Default Operation: Suck less, win more

(The format is shamelessly stolen from Micro2Macro, it looks good )

    Introduction:
Hi there, this is my first thread on FTR, and I think it's the only way I'm going to get better at poker - I understand how poorly I play most of the time, I just need you guys to pummel it into my head and make me play better. I'm starting at $NL5 and $2 SNGs (probably focusing more on SNGs), and I plan to make it up to $NL50 and higher stake SNGs, or beyond. My starting bankroll is $160 (its $60 at the moment, but I've got the $100 from the Full Tilt refer-a-friend coming in today/tomorrow). I've read both Super Systems, but I don't really think I got much out of them (apart from a huuuuge respect for the huge complexity of every poker game and a new love for 2-7 draw). I want to play poker well, and I'm going to put in alot of effort, so I hope you guys can help me.

    A Bit About Me
I've read FTR threads for about 2 months now, I pretty much come on every day and just skim through the topics on the front page, but I don't really go into each forum and read and post (as you can see by my post count). I'm 18, live in Australia, and I'm currently doing a Bachelor of International Studies (basically history and politics) at the University of Adelaide and I'm in my first year. I'm sure I have alot of political issues to argue with you, but thats not the point of the topic, so arguments can be kept to PMs :P

    How I'll get there
(Gee, sorry for stealing the format so much, but it just looks really good haha)
As Micro2Macro also says, Bankroll Management!!! I'm too much of an idiot and sometimes feel like donking off to a higher limit because I feel like 'gambling' and end up stacking off my overpair to some funky two pair.

    Goals
    1. Getting a shitload better at poker maths, probably my worst thing.
    2. Stop being a pussy and stop always thinking I'm beat, I'm _ALWAYS_ too scared because I think they have the best hand.
    3. (Again, word for word stolen) Work on mood management. Learn to leave the game when feeling tired/tilty/frustrated and so on. This has improved alot after I've taken notice of it, I still leave it on the list so I don't lose it.
    4. Study poker and work hard!!
    5. Move up stakes and not worry about losing a bit - losing is a part of learning (although it shouldn't be!)

    To end the beginning...
I'll be playing a ton tomorrow, and I'll post up some hands that I probably donk and you guys can abuse me for how poorly I play them
I hope some of you read this and ask questions etc, as for now... I'm waiting for my damn $100 from FT!!!

Well basically did I play those OK? Apart from the first hand, which I just found comical.

hand 1: easy stack off i reckon..it happens
hand 2: easy call for me especially after seeing 3: flush draws hit and he checks turn you don't bet , he bets big on river....same with both hands. I think your straight has his AJ KJ JT 9T beat.
edit: not so sure about the flop bet though would probably have checked behind as missed set , overcards on the board .

hand 3 : I'd have bet the turn , you got the second nut flush draw and if club comes on the river you won't get any value out of him. Checking behind the turn gives him outs to straights, you don't get to semi bluff the flush to get him to fold .When the river comes non club , non queen and him betting pot .....he could be playing any Ace with 75 0, he thinks you missed the flush and thinks his hand is good. I think it turns into a reluctant fold and kick yourself for not betting earlier.

Just me, or is the hand converter not working?

    Played some tonight, down $8

Stacked off one one buyin in NL5, had aces, flopped a set and guy moves all in with 6 high flush draw, of course the turn is his suit omg i lost a hand with aces poker is no fair etc

Anyway, I'm set to grind out tomorrow in a bunch of SNGs, and I'll post up some hands and see what you guys think (assuming the hand converter works) and I does anyone know how to fix my PokerTracker HUD? For some reason it doesnt work in some SNGs :/
