    good read

Fwiw, id get through college and set up a career then decide what you are doing with poker - the overall tone here is you just get in hands for ahnds sake.
What value do you get from SNE that is worth the effort of not being as good a poker player as you can vs being an SN and breaking into the bigger midstakes games?

Fwiw, i looked at the same situation just before the US was booted from party (albeit at smaller stakes)

If i were in your shoes id complete college/pwn poker on the side - use the income to bu ya house etc get a job for 6 montsh and then decide if its poker full time or a career with poker on the side.
You can easily make £50-75k year in a decent job and find 20hrs for poker a week taking earnings well over £100k. 2-3 years of that and you wont need to work as no mortgage etc

    Thanks miffed!

I am now definitely getting hands in for monies sake! Moving down from 24 to 16 tables has been great so far, I'm table selecting obscenely well and the results good so far As for what I'm going to do after college, well I have no idea. I might take a gap year or two or more, or I might start teaching percussion. Not a particularly well paid job but it might be fun...

Anyway, GARF of Feb so far...

Basically $3k from 2/4, $3k from 1/2, down a bit in 3/6 and even at 100nl but v small samples.

Of course it helps when this happens (sorry stacks in the CO...)

    PokerStars, $1/2 Hold'em Cash Games, 9 Players
    Hand Converter by Pokerhand.org

    Board:

    SB: $200
    BB: $324.40
    UTG: $160.05
    UTG+1: $200
    MP1: $129.85

    Dealt to UTG+1 J J

    Pre-flop:
    UTG raises to $6, UTG+1 calls $6, (3 folds), CO raises to $26, (3 folds), UTG calls $20, UTG+1 calls $20

    Flop: ($81) J T J (3 Players)
UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, CO checks

    Turn: ($81) 2 (3 Players)
    UTG bets $12, UTG+1 calls $12, CO calls $12

    River: ($117) Q (3 Players)
UTG checks, UTG+1 bets $162 and is all-in, CO calls $162, UTG calls $122.05 and is all-in

    Results:
    UTG+1 Showed J J
    CO Mucks A K
    UTG Mucks Q Q
    UTG+1 wins $79.90
    UTG+1 wins $480.15

I think c/r river is better, I can't think of anything in Stacks' range that wont bet the river but shove is ok too since there's a chance he was 3bet bluffing or something...

    Hope the good run continues!

Nice run badgers. And yeah fuck that hand. However, tbh I was totally out of it, being my first session in a week. There is no way I should be calling that river . Oh well, at least it went to you. Like enough of money doesn't go to you already. You still fucking owe me for that $300 2 outer lol.

    $1080 in 127 hands. Hmm. Still 24-tabling? that's a nice hourly regardless....

Soooooo... I got doomswitched for a while at 3/6, which was annoying. This but me on pretty bad tilt, so I just stayed at 1/2 for a little while. After a couple of days at home, I decided just to go straight back into the deep end and simply concentrate more. This has worked really well, tilt instantly banished, hopefully NEVER to return!

I did play my first ever hands of 5/10 when I spotted an extremely fishy looking table. However, it was pretty uneventful apart from getting AK<AA vs a 40BB stack. I felt pretty comfortable there though, I think I'm really progressing into the category of decent mid-stakes reg but I don't want to get ahead of myself :P

    graphs!

best day ever in cash today (lucky? Me? )

    Month so far

Oh and daven I've switched to 16 tabling max since whoever invented 24 tabling was probs in some way related to Satan!

Wow! GG man. Got the HHs for hands ~1350, 2000, and 4600 out of curiosity?
    Hey knucklehead! Bonk!

Here you are Chris. I think the other one is just QQ>AQ aipf at 600nl, but I can't tell whether it's that or another hand but they're standard anyway.

edit: ugh no results. SB has 99 here.

I'm pretty sure this is hand 4600 and hem is just completely wrong with the equity (dean makes a good point imo)

You are an inspiration to us all.

When I read your first post in January regarding the new SNE goal, I said to myself: "He won't last more than a month." Then I scrolled down to February 1st or 2nd and lol'd.

Then I read the rest of the page and was inspired. Keep up the good work.
