Meh ... everyone is different, so everyone should follow their heart or the money trail. For me personally, I look up to and admire successful 100bb max NLHE players MUCH MUCH more than I do successful ratholers/CAP players. And I think the former usually make a lot more money overall, too.

Explain to us how playing CAP makes one a ratholer?

All the ratholing regulars play 100bb poker now.

Oh and I'm not just trying to become a successful CAP player, I am trying to become BOTH a successful CAP player and 100bb player. That is way more powerful than just being able to play one game imo.

And, my guess is that you think Wizardofahhs's rakeback makes up the deficit. Assuming they are both SNE, Wizard would have to put a TON more volume than Nolan, and I don't think he can/does. Just look at their earnings and rakeback. If Wizardofahhs made 100% rakeback, he'd barely catch up with JustForFunds and then you have to figure JustForFunds has a lot of rakeback, too, albeit not as much as Wizardofahhs.

And, my main point is there's several successful players like Justforfunds. There's not nearly as many "Wizardofahh" and next to no one strives to be like them: especially players who can play 100bb max NLHE.

I can EASILY name 10 successful 100bb players for every successful ratholer/cap player you quote: Ivey, Durrr, Krantz, Isildur, Nanonoko, Negreanu, Whitelime, Ansky, FlawlessVictory, NL__Fool, and countless others. Again, who would most players rather be in a vacuum if you could choose? I don't think I'm lacking in this department. I've spent a LOT of time thinking about it actually. My conclusions could be wrong, but not for lack of effort

And, yes, some players can and do turn profit, but a LOT of players, myself included, believe that most successful ratholers/CAP players would make more money playing full. It's not a set in stone rule or law, but it's a general principle I think is true. The talent that allows them to make money with a shorter stack literally CAPs their win-rate.
