Okay I can't think of a good name, screw you

I just started getting back into poker again, still really at the basics but picking up on things like implied odds, and playing the player. Really trying to work on my concentration and putting people on ranges. I think it'd be good to try and write something after every session or so, so instead of just pretending I review hands I actually review them.

I'm playing at 5nl on pokerstars atm, only buying in for $5, cause that seems prudent.

Ideally I'd like to start making money, not much obviously, but enough so I can move up maybe. Or at least stop sucking.

This one, pretty much a bad beat I think. I check raise the flop not sure if that was smart to do. It seems that full house has been one of my worst hands and where I've lost a lot of my money. I'm not sure if the fact that trips can turn into a better full house is something I need to remember, or if getting it all in on a full house is always a good idea.

Coz he's probably British or something. When you dont have the right reginal setting for PT on your comuper ie USA settings then it fucks up these amounts. PT should ask to change the setting when it boots if they are wrong.

Not a bad few sessions yesterday. I think I'm starting to understand how important Table Selection is, and how to adapt to different kinds of tables. Exploiting a weak tight table is a special kind of joy, even if I am only winning a few cents a time. A few select hands from yesterday, not only bad ones, but some good ones, cause I think maximising your good hands is probably as important as minimising the bad ones.

This is one of those hands I struggle with. Two pair? A higher straight? Or shooting for the flush. In retrospect he was obviously shooting for the flush and I guess I shoulda pushed.

At 5nl, there are more than enough maniacs throwing their money away. Don't waste your time at tight tables.

Started 4 tabling a bit. This means I can play tighter without getting bored and losing concentration. I can see how set hunters make so much money now too, got a few myself. It's really surprisng just how many players will call an all-in on the river. One hand I really didnt like at all:

Yeah it was crap play. I was hoping he'd bet but there you go.

Still petering along, getting hands in where I can! Only one real hand that is interesting, the rest is just a matter of taking stupid peoples money I've also noticed that bad beats really dont hurt me anymore. Theres something satisfying about just shrugging and telling him nh!

Been on a bit of a heater recently I think. Having to make sure I just keep playing my game. $5nl doesn't really give me the chance to do anything too clever, so I'm just making sure I get paid when I get a hand. Didn't play for a couple of days this week, but got in about 1k hands today which was nice.

I also learnt that I really shouldn't play poker on an empty stomach.
