This is a selfish thread, inspired in part by Cocco_Bill, I think it was, wondering out loud (while, I'm sure, shaking his head and tutting sadly) why I am playing £25NL with a roll of over $4,000.

Here are the reasons why I play £25NL:

1. I am good at it, I know the site intimately, there are lots of fish, I know what to expect, I have lots of good PT stats, and I am a proven winner there.

2. It's an environment where I can learn 6max without risking too much of my roll

3. I don't like $50NL at all, partly because whenever I've played it it's been ultra-rocky, it's full of people who have graduated from $25NL, and in actual money terms it's only about 5% more than £25NL thanks to the exchange rate (my BB/100 at $50 is about 1)

4. I am terrified of losing sums in three figures in a single session

5. I will win less (in terms of hands, BB/100 etc), whereas I like winning

6. I am gradually opening up my game, playing and raising more hands, but I am sure I would clam right up back to 15/7 or whatever at a higher level

7. I am really enjoying 6max right now, but $100NL 6max scares the living shit out of me

So, persuade me why all this is dumb...
