Default Prozachs road to greatness or $500

Ok heres whats up, waiting on my epassporte deposit to go through(takes two weeks wtf) and then depositing ~$100 on bodog.

I will either be playing 10max or 6max, I used to play 10 but from what I have been reading 6max gives you more room for playing and having fun with and learning. I am pretty confident of my ability to beat 10nl pretty easily, so you guys think it will be ok to two table 10nl with $100 roll? Since I really don't want to deal with 5nl.

When I quit before, I was barely break even at 25nl, and slightly losing at 50nl. I want to grind my roll up to 500 on bodog, and then either stay there or go to greener pastures to learn to kill 25nl(6 max probably)

One of my major leaks is getting bored when playing and doing other things, I think playing 6max will help with this. Another leak is sticking to one game, I jumped around from SnGs to Cash a lot before, and I really do like SnG(easy decisions) but I think there is more money in cash and also a larger opportunity to grow as a player.

While I wait for my deposit to clear, I am gona read up everything I can on these forums.

    Goals: Beat 10nl
Play at least 1500 hands a week
    Stick with one game
    Plug leaks
    Be a more aggressive player
Focus on poker and getting reads on players
Build my roll up to $500

If you are worried about playing 2tables of 10nl with 100br- play a few sessions on 1 table for a day or two. You might just kill the game and make 4+ buy ins a night and then will be rolled for 10nl on as many tables as you want.

10nl at bodog is really the softest game ive ever seen so as long as you stay carefull and dont get massive coolers- youll meet the goal real soon.

    Good luck!

When my roll is still $100, should I play full ring and nut camp to $200, variance at 6max is worse I have heard.

Or should I be fine 2 tabling 6 max even with only 10bis?

Ok well heres my first day of poker, happy to be here.

Had problems depositing onto Bodog with epassporte, so I am on Pokerstars.

I am going to play 5nl till I am comfortable playing again, and getting my poker trackers and PAhud setup the way I want.

I will try to post sessions notes every day I play

Alright so so far today(might play some more tonight if I don't go out) I played 427 hands, 22.97ptbb/100 = $9.81
    VP$P 20.14 PFR% 14.05

I really felt like I wasn't catching any hands, AA, QQx2 and JJ all netted me only blinds. Didn't make a set all night. Made most my money off absolute tards with me making money off TPTK.

It feels good to be back, for sure.

Ok played another hour session from 12:30-1:30, I think I only make money after I click off auto post blinds, I was down about a dollar for the session then I won around $10 in the span of 2 hands.

    731hands today $17.08 won, 23.37ptbb/100, VP$P 19.56 PFR% 13.54(this needs to be closer to my VP$P correct?)

Well feels good to be up 3.5 buy ins in one night on my first night back.
Decided to wait till I have 20 buy ins before moving up to 10nl, since it hopefully will not take to long at 5nl and I am still pretty shaky.

Continued running good today put in 500 hands, running 24.1ptbb/100

dropped a buy in early 3 barreling when I shouldn't have been. Realized I shouldn't be playing AJ and AT like I do.

Dropped a buyin today, KK on J74 rainbow, I raise donk re raises, I shove, T on turn 3 on river he turns over JTo, so I cant be too miffed got my money in ahead.

Sorta tilted me and I really couldn't get paid off, a lotta my cont bets were being called, and a few sets got just folds.

Thinking about raising my pocket pairs more, so when I do hit sets its in a raised pot at least and better chance someone to have top pair and stack off, if no one else has a hand I just end up taking blind whether I raise preflop or post flop, but at least have a chance at blinds raising something like 55, were I am less likely to cont bet flop.

Still up 7buyins, so thats not bad for only 1.5k hands in, not gona be able to play tomorrow, and thursday probably not either. Probably try to get in a ton of hands Friday night and over the weekend. 3k hands hopefully.

lol skipped stats class(Ive done enough calc that I know everything thats being taught but I still have to take it wtf)

went up 3 buyins in like 30 minutes. Sat down AJ raise pre, flop comes AJX, donk bets I raise he pushes I call he shows A6.... sometimes it feels to easy.
I am kicking myself really bad tho, they need 10x what they raised for you to call with pair? he had maybe like 8x, and if i had called woulda stacked two guys one at 120bb another at 100bb.

I am trucking along put in 1k hands today, 8 tabled some. Had some bad luck but it got canceled out by good luck and pretty then grinded a little w/o picking up hands. Need to do some more reading and nail down a better hand selection.

I also have to stop calling when I know they have a set no matter how terrible they are.

Meh, down a little bit, fucking people playing K5s seem to be raping me pretty well.

Having a hard time getting paid off with hands I should be getting paid off with. It will even out tho.

Today felt good put in 500 hands, I have such a hard time respecting people. I followed Sauces 6 max guy and killed pretty hard.

CAN PEOPLE BE WORSE? he was like 65/25 over only like 20 hands tho, I know this is very transparent but I think this guy with any ace is calling

So I folded KK pf.... on accident, I had KK stacked a guy who called my push pf with J2s(I think he was really drunk thats why I 3bet shoved) then next hand I apperantly(according to PT) had KK and folded pf.... I dont remember bad

up two buyins in about 300 hands off to class

    4.1k hands 15.25 VP$P/ 10.93PFR 19.43PTbb/100
Seem like this is sustainable even tho according to ptev I am running pretty well.

    fucking lag

my last two KK are pf folds

I raise shorty 3bets, another guy pushes 100bb stack, I poker stove hit time and lag and it folds..... shorty had A3s other guy AK. I was planning on calling but wanted to pokerstove for god knows why

Closing in on 10nl, will probably start hitting that this weekend maybe a little bit under rolled but it is not a huge issues if I lose a stack there and plug away another day at 5nl to make up for it.

won my biggest pot so far with AKs 280bb pot, I raise shorty 3bet shoves, there is one guy acting after me so I shove because I don't feel like playing post flop in a 100bb pot and he calls. Shorty turns over 77 the other AX0. I hit a K.

And I am making $1.42 an hour bitches thats a lotta money.
Now if I could 80table 5nl I could go pro.

Had a good session today, not good because I won a lot of money but good because I think I played well.

Had one ugly suck out early, I had AA guy called with some thing like J4, hit two pair on the flop, I ended up pushing turn with a flush draw and hit an Ace. So I was like a 35/65 dog.

Lost with KK vs QQ got it all in pf but what can ya do.

Only play I feel like I spewed was vs a small stack, I hit JJ took 1/4th of his stack, next hand AA took another 1/4th of his stack, and he was down to 20bb 3rd hand had AQs flop came 37T rainbow and he bet flop like he had previously and I pushed. He turned over JT. Kinda pissed about it because I shoulda just left it alone.

My stats are starting to come were I want them to running about 13/12 the last few days, which I thing is better than opening up a lotta suited connectors at low stakes. But if someone wants to tell me thats wrong I will listen if htey can explain why.

5nl is crazy people 4bet shoving A3s, I am thinking of changing my play to call 4bet shoves or 4bet shove with AK, I dominate any Ax donk and have decent odds versus pocket pairs.

Short term goal, by this weekend 2/8 put in 2500 hands which at a 10ptbb/100 will give me 20 buyins for 10nl.

Right now I am at 15ptbb/100, so this should be obtainable will just have to try to put in 500 hands a day which I think I can do.

Well I decided to play one table of 10nl while I watched Jack Bauer win(hopefully) a PLO-HiLo tourney. And had a nice double plus a little more from another guy.

So I am rolled for 10nl now.

So this week will be my start of 10nl(probably 4 table 10nl) and 2table 5nl. If I play less than 5 tables I get bored and start to browse the web. But dont wana 6 table with only 20buyins

I need to have longer sessions, most of my sessions go from about 45minutes to an hour and 15 minutes.

My longest sessions are usually were I do not get a ton of hands and do not get in big pots. My shortest sessions are by far when I double up early and am doing well, I start almost playing scared money not wanting to get in a big hand and lose. I drop a table if I am at 200bb and open up another to bank my winnings, but I still tighten and get nervous at other tables.

Yes I play scared money at 5 and 10nl! I guess I need to get over that.

I figure if I can have a 10ptbb/100 at 10nl it will take me about 15,000 hands at 10nl to be rolled for 25nl. I am hoping to do this by March 8th(my birthday!)

I have spring break in early march so I should be able to get in a lot of hands then.

1/3rd of the way there, I should be able to make my March 8th goal.

I am running pretty well according to pokerev, so I am happy but also know some of it is luck. I feel like I am starting to get a good grasp on how to beat these low limits so I am very happy. Before when I played I never really felt like a winning player, now I do. My confidence is up a ton and I feel like I am reading players a lot better.

Doing well with the switch to 10nl, I 6 tabled today and felt comfortable and had a longer than normal night session. So I am happy I was able to keep playing when I did win some big hands.

ps. if you can keep the same win rate moving up kicks so much ass!

Hey Zach, nice to see your doing well, and happy I could donate to your operation the other day. Im kind of new at alot of this so I dont have much to say, I personally am working on getting my stats closer to your and Im actually very close...last time I saw you at the tables I had you running 17/14...seems to be the best style for low limits and even 25NL from what I understand.

The only thing I can comment on after playing almost 20k hands this month is about the min raise bet from these huge donks. For instance guy running 60/10 or 40/15 seems to always only do this with the nuts espically on the turn or river. However in generalization it seems like this is only done on the flop when they are on a draw...may not be right all the time but Ive just noticed that these fish dont seem to raise if they flopped trips, even if it a scary board.

Anyways, good luck to you in our operation , were actualy in similar boats right now..my next goal being to crack 600 bucks. I started with 50 about 3 weeks ago and Im half way there currently sitting with 300.

fuck, I think I am gona move down to 5nl for a few days, lost about 6buyins at 10nl in 700 hands.

figure out if I am fucking up or what, and I am nearing 20 buy in for 10nl, trying to stay positive though.

All I can do is get in a shit ton more hands!

I don't know it was all bad play from not being able to get anything going for the last two days, trying to force hands. Yes it sucks that my Aces and Kings have not seen a flop for a few days, have to learn to wait it out and get it in with at least TPTK, 2nd pair is not good ever in these situations.

Stop stacking off with bottom pair. Start there and work your way back up .
Just dipping my toes back in.

Ill be interested to hear the replys on that hand. I personally have been stacking off every time here since from the way I understand it OPP is only 12% to flop a flush. It seems like a lot of times the donkeys at 10NL are flipping over AK of hearts here a lot.

BTW, i like your new avatar on Pstars.

Going from +12bb/100 to -0.2 over one days play, I played 1.2k hands today by far my biggest day, most of it was trying to recover from the first 300 hands but, I am ok. Not ogna let it affect me. I did'nt drop down today when I was at 20, but will tomorrow.

Gona try to build to 25buyins before moving back up again.

PokerEV, anyone wana explain what it this is from todays sessions

This is overall at 10nl(small sample yes)

Have you thought about posting up some of your stats in the shorthanded forum, I did it and it has done wonders for my game.

I should go through and look through and post everything. One day to be at 10bb/100 and the next day over 1.3k hands to run -26bb/100 there are a few hands I posted which show why, just making HORRIBLE call downs.

But when I do get some free time instead of playing for an hour I think I will look through pt

  37. #37
His name was letlukeplay he was 62/20 over 50hands for me, with high aggression factor

6tabled some 5nl, made 3 buyins in about an hour. Think I am going to slowly integrate 10nl tables into my 5nl sets. Hit 10k hands played since I came back to play poker 10k hand in less than a month of playing not bad, at least for me.

When I plotted all 10k hands in bb/100 it did not look too bad, looks horrible in dollars/100 tho but, I was running insane, and my ev graphs seem to be leveled up so hopefully I can run even on luck for the next 10k hands and mkae money off skill.

    Goal for March:
Silver Star(hey its kinda hard at 10nl)
Be close to being rolled for 25nl aka $500

Played 1k hands today for a total net of -$10 aka 1 buyin

went -2.5buyins in first 250 hands(lost full house to rivered quads) and donked off a buyin in a dumb spot.

I tried to open up my range more today, and was around 18/15(usually run 14/11 ish)

I think I will probably need 30-35k hands to hit silver star. But since this week is spring break I will be able to hopefully get in 10-15k hands this week before the weekend when I turn 21 ohhhh boy.

Changed up my play today and it worked hilariously well.

I ran something like 8/5 low AF on flop and turn, insane AF on river. Aka I slow played a hella a lot of sets. I am gona theorize that slow playing at lower levels on the right boards against the right players is very profitable. But I guess we will have to see.

Now you can say the way this is played is horrid, and I will agree but hey sometimes we gotta mix up our game.

Haven't played poker since last update and I don't plan to play till Monday. I have just been distracted and such and one of my goals is to not play unless I am in the right mindset.

I tend to tilt and play way to aggro when I open up tables and am not in the mood.

But I turn 21 tomorrow gona be out drinking the next 2 days, so I will come back Monday and rip up some tables when I am back at school in my comfort zone.
