What a day, I got AA and KK 7 times and all of them I won a pot under 1$ but a time that I won 4$. I had 20 pairs and only once they made a set. I didn't catch any flush draw and also made a mistake that costed me 15$.

    RE: the above KK hand.

you need to be raising to $0.40 prefop. 3xbb does nothing to thin the feild at this level. Secondly, dont make it a habit of check raising like this. This case isnt terrible because the board is so dry, but just continue the aggression if you were the preflop raiser and if someone has a hand, you will get paid off.

It also seems you like to min-raise postflop. Dont do this, there are very few situations where this is right. Raise villains flop bet in hand 1 up to $1. If hes calling the min-raise, hes almost always calling $1.

Keep posting hands and dont get discouraged w/ short term results. I started an operation thread at the beginning of this year and it has really helped me improve my game.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

    Thanks Bode-ist.

This is not my weekend. PT hasn't sent me the key yet so today I had day free and played many MTT's.

17 45 man 1.2, a 1.1 and a 0.1. I only cashed in one for 2$. When I hit a big hand everybody was folding then next hand they were getting all in with trash. I also had some bad beats but overall I'm happy with the last two tables, I was able to recover 3 times from last position to almost FT with stealing and aggresion.

There was a crazy hand on the one I made it 7th. I pickup KK utg+1 and utg raises a bit (he was raising everything as a CL (had 25% of chips ingame) so I reshove all in and the guy behind me shoves also. When it gets back to utg he calls. He had AA and the other had JJ, so he ended up winning 70% of the chips ingame with just 6 players left.

I need to play more tight at the start. 0.1 one I played well but got a badbeat and 1.1 one I just called badly with 55 vs AA and QQ... I need to pay more attention.

Positions I got on the 45 ones: 45th twice (Shall I stop AK all in preflop?), 44th once (QQ vs JJ and he gets a full house), 43th once, 40th once, 38th once, 35th twice (Playing aggresively a Flush Draw is a good thing?) 33th once, 32th twice, 28th once, 19th once (card dead this time, steal went wrong), 15th once (Rivered), 13th once (Really bad call), 9th once (Playing aggresive and two short stacks left me with M=2), 8th once and 7th once.

I would like to hear more tips about 6 max cash games as I think my aggresivity is good enough for them, some links to interesting reads would be nice, I know that a set is normally the nuts and two pair should be considered TPTK as in full ring but I need more info and also a bit of help on those MTT's, I know I need to nut camp till blinds are 200/100 and then play the bubble with good hands and sensibly, anything else you could add?

    Thanks if you read it

I've played another session tonight and I did well.
    First a 2.75$ MTT, I busted soon.
    Then 5 1.2$ ones: 40th then 30th then 21th then 11th and a 4th, I've been running very bad.

Then on a 2242 1.1$ MTT I finished 58th for 4.49! My best finish so far. Was a shame the last in was versus KK and JJ.

Just lost 10$ playing some 5 card draw. I made trips and the other had full house, was a HU match. Back to grinding MTT's.

Played 2 1.2$ MTT's, 13th in one, A8s vs KQ, Q on river, 88 vs AJ, A on flop. I finished 18th on the other one, AJ vs AK with me having flush draw on the flop, it happens that it never hits.

    BR: 123$ - I'm going down

I've taken almost whole day off watching tv and doing some cleaning to clear my mind.

Played a 1.1$ MTT before going to bed but I busted within 15 minutes.

Then I discovered 3.25$ 6 max SNG, and I said, give it a go. Loved it, wait for one hand or two or wait for them to bust then double up from chip leader.

I won it for 11.70$ I'm gonna play some of those tomorrow.

    BR at 130$ - I think I can manage those SNG's.
  11. #11
Okay so I played some SNG and got the hang of it, only made two mistakes in 12 SNG's. I'm loving them.

    3. 4th - QQ vs AQ - A on river
    4. 5th - AJ on 89J vs AA and KJ
    5. 3th - AJ vs KQ - FLOP KKQ then QT vs QQ
    6. 6th - KK on A flop
    7. First for 11.70$
    8. 4th - QJ vs AQ
    9. 5th - AQ vs KK and QT on Qxx flop
    10.6th - Didn't hit anything the 3 times I played a flop.
11.3th - AQ vs QT on Txx flop - Q on turn I was shortstack.
    12.First for 11.70$

    BR: 118$

Straights really killed me... but I am on the good track, I can beat this.

First one I came shortstack HU 1 to 3 and second time I was chip leader 1.5 to 1.

    First one crazy hand.

  14. #14
It seems I will, just won my last sng for the night

    23. First for 11.70$

I'm on holidays for 4 days starting tomorrow. Let's hope the rest will bring me the small amount of luck I need to win big. So far I liked how I improved my game those last two days if we take into account the bad beats and bad play I had on saturday.

    BR: 127$
  15. #15
    I'm back from holidays:
I've sucked out and rivered 4 times in those three games, finally some luck back.

    24. Third, A9 vs AK when I was defending my blinds, he stole some times with Kx and worse hands, bad luck.
    25. First for 11.7$
    26. First for 11.7$

I love 45 spades, call a steal HU hit 679 spades on board and win the SNG when he shoves with K9.

    BR now 141$!

    Buyin: 84.5$
    Cashed: 106.2$

    ROI: 25,7%

I need to play 1000 more SNG's and the bonus is mine

I am now very happy, I know I will beat this for a living.
  16. #16
Ended 31th on a 1.1$ SNG, I played well but on a split pot he hit straight flush draw...

77th on the other tournament. Well played, AQs 2 times as shortstack that never hit.
  17. #17
Okay, been playing some SNG's to recover my BR. Holidays were good.

I've played 20 or so SNG's today and I'm up some. I made ITM in 70% of them.

    Played: 53

    Second: 12
Total Profit: 64.15$ (Up 20 Buyins!)

WTF nobody has chimed in on your thread.

Good going prunus, its hard grafting the smaller SNGs but its worth it. $5 SNGs will really help your roll noticably when you get there.

Do yo have PT or do you keep an excel spreadsheet (which is what i did when starting out)
Jman: every time the action is to you, it's an opportunity for you to make the perfect play.
  19. #19
I'm doing an excel spreadsheet, there is no real need to get PT now as I'm not doing any cash games.

Ending results today: 175$ so +34$

    Played: 71
    First: 17
    Second: 14

I've played like 50 SNG's today for a 25% roi, not bad, I'm very happy - Almost kept it up to 185$ but two bad beats on last 3 set of games killed me. I got trips and he has two pair, turn = his full house, I've got TP HU and he has 88, turn = 8.

I'm gonna play some more tomorrow and see if I can get back to 200$
  20. #20
50 in a day?? how many tables you play at a time??

25% is great result, id say get PT when you can tho, maybe when you hit $10 SNGs
Jman: every time the action is to you, it's an opportunity for you to make the perfect play.
  21. #21
I started to use PT & PAHUD as soon as I hit the $10 SNG's when I started off. I grinded the $1 & $2 SNG's for months before dipping my toes into the $5. As soon as the BR allows play less tables at the $5 SNG's. They are equally soft/donkish.
  22. #22
Thanks, I play 3 at a time and if I bust I open another one, you can't really have more than 3 because if you make it to HU it goes really fast.

80$ more and I'm up to 6.5 ones.

I just played a 6 max cash game session, ended up 1.3$ but I was up 10.6$ at once. Also played some draw and I won 5$.

Registered for 2.2$ HU 128 max and 5.5$ draw tournament.
  23. #23
51 out of 96 on draw.

I have KK on UTG everybody folds but the BB, he calls me, discards 4, I discard and get KK88, I raise all in he had AA99

Busted on the HU matches at the third game. Played a 3.3$ SNG and busted too but I won some at draw.

    BR: 180$

Gonna play some SNG's later to get that to 200!
  24. #24
Just experienced my first tilt day in months. Lucky me I recognised it and stopped but now I'm really angry, how can people river inside straight draw on the bubble.

BR 170$ - Done today and maybe tomorrow will be day off.
