yeah i think you're supposed to get your energy from the lentils/beans to make up for the no fruit/less carbs. I'm also taking a cup of protein powder mixed with water that i drink before/after my workout. So far I haven't felt a huge dip in my energy. One important thing in all this is that you have to eat a meal within ~30 minutes of waking up. Considering I will often wake up at 10am and not eat anything till 1pm, this is going to be a huge change for me. Hardboiled eggs and spinach are going to be my breakfast, maybe with some salsa (it's allowed so I'm milking that since it tastes good).
