This is an awesome opportunity. I can't do it, obviously, and I suck so bad at SnG's and MTT's that you wouldn't want to waste any time on me. But I'm happy that a couple of guys might get this chance.

I also like the fact that you can gain experience as a coach through the process plus see if you enjoy that aspect of poker. My only suggestion would be to keep the agreement short and for not much br. Maybe have a "renew agreement" clause after, say, 2 months, so either party can discontinue the stake at that time if it's not working.

It's odd having been staked. I think it works for me. I'm very conscious each time I play that it's not (just) my own money in play. I owe my backers my full concentration and effort. If it's my money and I donk it off, that's on me, right? So I end up playing better and working harder on my game both. I think it worked that way for kmind, too. But you don't really know how you'll react until you do it.

I have to admit that sometimes I feel a lot of pressure from the stake. I'm not unhappy, but I'm surprised at how little I was able to gauge how I would play and think about poker staked until it happened.

Just my $.02, about $.015 of which other people's money.
