So the last few weeks I've been playing pretty well. Though results aren't particularly showing of it, since I can safely say that August has been my worst month ever in terms of "running bad" (too many coolers to count, and suckouts). Which is pretty crazy, considering I've felt the last few months haven't been tooo hot either!
But nonetheless, I don't mind having a down month as long as I think I'm playing pretty well, so that's alright. Hopefully next month I play well AND run well, and then all will be good!
My "Elements of Poker" - by Tommy Angelo arrived today, which is exciting! I've heard some good things about it, so I'm looking forward to reading it. I'll give some thoughts on it once I'm further in.
BR: 63k
down around 13k this month, but running from what I can tell around 20ishk under expectation, which is pretty sick!
My goal for the next bit is to: well finish reading elements of poker. But also to avoid high variance spots for the time being. I'd rather avoid high variance spots, especially while I'm running bad.
This is what i mean by high variance spot, and is a hand I had while taking a shot at 10/20 (5/10 pounds) the other day. The high variance decision is choosing to 3-bet on flop (when I probably don't have that much fold equity vs this opponent) instead of calling and c/f missed turns.
