Hey guys and girls, I've started one or two of these over the years and this time I intend to stick with it. With your support of course.

I don't intend it to be an operation, just more of a place to post my progress and some hand histories along with any thoughts I may be having. Obviously my goal is to finally move up in stakes and be playing for meaningful results.

A little about me; I've been playing poker on and off for about 4 years and only in the past year have I gotten really serious about it. In the beginning I was very into it of course, watched it all on tv and started playing online with a bit of cash a buddy loaned me. I was awful. I remember playing 25NL with $90 in my stars account long before I knew what bankroll management was and If I only had those hand histories, now long lost, I'm sure it'd be ugly.

At some point I started looking around for help online, I figured out I was terrible and something sparked inside me. I wanted to improve and actually learn the game rather than just donk around online for funsies; clueless and very fishy.

I don't really remember how I found FTR, but I did and I got some books and I started studying. I like to think I've improved some, but by no means am I ready. Towards the end of 2008 I was finally playing well enough and rolled enough to start mixing in 50NL tables with my regular 25NL stakes. I was feeling really good about my game and honestly I could see some light at the end of the micro stakes tunnel. Maybe premature, I dunno. I do know I was playing the best poker yet.

Anyway, then some crap happened. We had to move unexpectedly, I had to withdraw my entire roll off stars and on top of all that my damn entire HH from the past 2 years is gone from my pc due to an accidental delete on my part when I was cleaning junk to improve computer performance. Yes, I'm a pc noob I guess.

So here we are, I was finally able to upload a tiny sliver of my roll onto stars to start playing again and this time I'm not going to be touching my poker roll. Period. For no one. Ever. Except for me and my wife when I'm successful enough to win some spending money.

This past Monday was my first day back, I uploaded $150 and started on the 5nl tables , four tables of 6max. Until I get the rest of my roll back online I'm just going to play whatever stakes I currently have the money online for.

ran like this:

1.5 BI is missing from that pic, I didn't have my Stars HHs saving properly for the first 50 or so hands. So I moved up pretty quickly to 10NL with 22.5 BI and so far am running:

so far so good. I've beaten these levels and am not interested in playing a ton of hands here, just going to move up as quickly as the roll can stand it. I won't be moving up to 25NL until I have at least 30 BI though. Hopefully between playing well and getting more of the old roll replaced I'll be back sooner than later. I'll be playing primarly 6max NL, but plan to start learning full ring and some other games that interest me as well. I also plan to move to a site with rackeback as soon as I'm rolled for 25 again as well as target some bonuses. That may involve opening a new account on sites that will remain unnamed, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

I was hoping to start posting HHs this afternoon, but I've gone and posted a long winded post that no one is going to read anyway. :P So when I get home from work tonight I'll post up some of the spots I have questions about. I still do plenty of dumb crap that costs me money and that will be evident when I start posting some of my sillier hands.

well thanks for reading if you made it this far, hopefully I'll get some feedback from everyone but if not meh. At least it'll help me stay focused on thinking about my game and how to improve. Just sitting down and playing every night with no reflection won't help anyone improve and I fall into that trap often.
