I do actually put some stock in this stuff, though likely for different reasons for SirP and Jarlith probably have. I try to read that string theory stuff and my head asplodes, I just don't get it, and I've pretty much given up trying to.
Anyways, I've often had a sense of what is to come, that "gut feeling". Though, I don't let it affect the way I play my hands at all, I do like to play by the math.
Regardless of whether I'm delusional or not (because I could very well be), I believe this does have a positive effect on my poker mindset, especially when things don't go my way, since I knew? it was going to happen anyways.
