Seems like a few of us either starting or struggling at 200nl atm. Lots of hands being posted in the SHNL forum. We should start beating this up.
I really found that active learning was not just doing all those things you mention, but really focusing on them. I.e., not just watch a video, but pause and take notes, rewind and rewatch interesting spots, stuff like that. When I post hands and theres some good feedback, rather than just read it, I copy the hand out and make notes on the feedback/etc. This has made a big difference to helping cement the ideas I think.
Hit me up on msn if you wanna chat hands or anything.
Thanks for the offer man. I've dropped to 100NL for the time being -- my BR has suffered too much lately & I do need to regain my footing with the game and remind myself how to play against ABC taggs, something I've been suffering with lately, leveling myself into spew/stationey play. I'm having fun again -- playing FR, 6m & HU. 100NL's been going well -- running massively under EV, but I'm starting to feel confident again & think I've been playing a pretty solid game.
