Reading the posts each week. Great work even though I am not yet following everything! The term equity/fold equity I see used alot in discussions so some kind of noobs guide/introduction to equity would be useful if such a thing can be covered easily.
I'm going to do this in the beginners circle.
Appreciate you are busy and thanks for the blog (still need to re-re-read though!) but are there still plans to do something on this or have I missed it? Or is there an existing thread/stickie around I have not seen? I have only just downloaded pokerstove as I wish to analyse some of my hands in more detail. I am raising/shoving draws/air more as well as making more marginal calls for example. I win some, lose some but not sure if they are +ev. I am going on feel a bit. Whats the best way to analyse this for example to find out if call was +ev? Villain was 16/9 and had been folding his BB alot to late position raises.

    Hey,

I'm sorry Shifubowa, as you can imagine i have a pretty busy life and tend to forget about this stuff! I'll make sure to do a beginners guide to equity and fold equity, I'll probably do it in my weekly article though.

In the hand you posted I play the same on flop, bet turn, but I c/f fold the river. As played fold river. You'd have to put him on a pure bluff at this point as there's nothing he's vbetting thats worse.
