Who is the Worst?

Now granted that most (if not all) of the FTR bloggers are better than I am, and all have many more posts, who is the worst poker player?

I hope no one gets offended by this thread, I have learned from all of the blogs, just interested in what people thought. I've never played with any of them (I don't think). The only FTR tourney I played in was the last freeroll which I came in like 6th or something.

My vote is for vqc, he always seems to be losing or raiding his br. Maybe he is just the most honest. . .

I play mainly $5s and $10s so feel free to ream me if you feel the need.

when i was shitting my pants before that I lost my BR it was becuase I was about to give up my poker playing so that I could pay for my grandmothers shots to ease her cancer.

I don't know about voting for the worst, but I do think that a lot of people who read here will be discouraged by the impressive records of many members. It's hard to win money at poker and easy to donk it away. That's why it's profitable to a good disciplined player.

IMHO we should vote for the worst player we've seen, not members. That would be a funny topic, with posted HHs and all.

EDIT: VQC sorry and hope things work out well. That's one reason I don't think this is a good idea.

I believe I am the most average player who offers the best advice. If I could follow my advice I'd be a great player.

To be clear, I am almost certain that vqc is better than I am, I have never even attempted 33+3s. I have my struggles with tilt at $10+1s. I am sorry about your situation vqc, and glad to hear that things are looking up.

I haven't read much by courtiebee, I mostly play sngs, so hence have read of vqcs stuff.

THe only FTRers i have played against are Gabe, DaNutsInYoEye, and BigRed.

In my first post before the hard drive got messed, I wrote something explicitly saying that I'm the only FTR blogger who isn't a successful poker player. I've probably been playing "real" poker (for money) since September, and I'm totally still learning how to be a winning player. I'm better than break even for sure, but I definitely don't win hundreds of dollars per hour/day/week or whatever. So yeah, thanks Muxy, you got something right this time

Anyway, even though we all know what the answer is and blah blah blah, I don't really see what the point of this is. It's not like I don't know how to play poker, and I believe I have contributed to this forum quite nicely considering how little I know about this great card game (and I'm still slightly intoxicated, so I think that I'm just great concerning all matters right now).

I don't know if the purpose of the blogs was to specifically showcase how amazingly successful certain players are and how they go abouts making their big wads of cash. Maybe to some degree, but if that were all they were for, I wouldn't have a blog, would I.

Ah anyway. Feel free to explain why you asked your question. Whatever the case, I answered it for you (and now I'm going to bed ... I'll wake up tomorrow morning, reread this, and probably discover that it makes no sense)

I have never made an entry after losing session. All the hands I think are "cool" are hands I've won (with the exception of one). I've never posted a hand history of a donkish play that cost me significant money. I never posted on how sore my ass is from getting bent over pretty much every time I've tried stepping up to $200 NL 6-max.

I don't think if I'm the worst player, but it wouldn't offend me if someone voted that way. I know I'm definately not the best. If you instead wanted to vote on which person's blog is the least representative of how successful they've been, I know I'd win it hands down.

My blog isn't a diary by any means. I don't lie, but the story I tell tends to be one sided. I make entries more for entertainment value than anything else. Because of that, my entries are usually of successes I've had. I definately have losing sessions, I just don't feel the need to talk about them in my blog. In terms on overall success, the best indicator of how successful a player you are can be found in your record keeping. If you're looking for it in my blog, then you're looking in the wrong place.

Hands I think I miss played or have trouble with I post in the forums because I think they get more of the kind of exposure I want (ie. critical analysis). The losing sessions I have are recorded in Excel. The winning sessions are recorded in Excel too, but sometimes I share them in my blog as well.

I've never kept a blog or a diary before. I don't know what is suppossed to or not suppossed to go in it. The way I see it though is that it's my blog so I'll post whatever the hell I feel like posting.

Regardless of what a person writes in their blog, I want everyone to know that I enjoy reading theirs. I appreciate the honesty, humor and everything else. I feel bad when someone has a losing session, but honestly it makes me feel a little better because I know that I'm not the only. I enjoyed the crazy shit LeFou posted in his although I didn't understand most of it. I like when Gabe posts hands of him stacking people in 6-max. I've been playing a lot of it lately myself and know how good it feels to do that. It also brings a smile to my face when I see someone else on FTR doing the same. Everyone has their own personality and pieces of it can be seen in their blog. I think it's pretty cool, and again, I find it entertaining.

Who cares if someone thinks you're the worst player anyways? You can vote for me for all I care. I'd be happy if all my opponents thought I was horrible. Everyone that has a blog is constantly working on their game. Even if they happen to be the worst it doesn't mean they will be for long.

i'm going to make an effort to post some really donk hands in my blog. i implore you to do the same.

I know I posted a helluva lot more when I was winning gobs of money on a nightly basis. Then I hit a downswing, and I posted about that....and then I got back to playing (almost) break-even poker, and I posted about that......but since then, I've not been posting much at all. Why? Because the whole blogging thing isn't as "cool and new" as it once was. The main reason? Because I'm not making as much as I once was (although since I've switched to 6-max I've been making some good cash).

I dunno. I don't think it's right (or healthy) to really be discussing this topic(who the worst poker players of all the bloggers is)....Just take the blogs for what they are. They're (mostly winning) stories about people playing poker. Is it all true? I hope so. Do you hear about every losing session, every downswing? Probably not.

The reason for having them, though, is so people can learn from them.....and I hope they've allowed people to do so.





P.S. Gabe is by far the worst poker player of all of the bloggers. Guarenteed.
