if i were one of those people in a pool with him, i would get on his tables and fuck with him, and get everyone else in the pool to come along for a splash.

actually, idk if i would do that, its pretty fucked up.

If you read the thread he has set aside judges who will decide wether or not people are doing exactly this and if they are then the bets off or crap like that.

i would get so depressed and have a nervous breakdown playing poker 12+ hours a day every day for a month 24 tabling. The pressure he must be feeling with that much money on the line not to mention the boredom must be unreal. I actually feel sorry for him imo no matter how much respect he gets from the poker community.

edit: just realised how much money hes made in the last few months even if he loses the bet = no longer feel sorry for him.

why? hes stands to lose like a 1/3rd of his bankroll on this bet?

spending 12/16 hours a day 24-tabling to lose 1/3rd of ur roll must be pretty fucking brutal

(didnt inc. the maount he wins trying to win bet / fpp)

I can't find him on PS anymore
The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than average. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their mistakes

It seems that he has given up. There is a big post about it in his blog.

ok so i don't want to read through all this thread and I definitely don't want to read through the whole 2+2 thread so can someone give me some cliff notes on his progress?
  16. #91
    he quit

clif notes: young guy, takes a prop bet getting 2.5ish:1 on his money that he can make $10,000 (400 buyins) in 31 days at $25nl Full-Ring on PS or FTP. He put up like 22k to win 50k or something like that.

He starts hot, winning big first 2 days, well at least money-wise seeing how he played 53k hands in a 48 hour period. He then goes breakeven for like 70k hands before swinging up again, giving everyone who bet on him hope.

However, he continues to have breakeven and even losing days and 16 days in he only had made $3300, or about 1/3rd of the necessary money. He then posted today how he was quitting, saying there are better ways to make money. FWIW he had made 60k+ the last few months combined at higher levels.

    Fucken quitter.

" Oh it's so hard" "Oh they are adjusting to me" "Oh the games are tougher during the day" These are the very reasons guys bet him, because these reasons makes it tough. Other than the $25NL guys adjusting.

what's gold about jyms post is his sig right below it.

he did make a mistake not playing night, but not too big.

lol at them adjusting to him. the results he was describing to illustrate that make more sense when analyzed as focus and fatigue. he wasn't getting adjusted to. if they even knew how to adjust to him they wouldn't be at 25nl.

he said he wasn't even sleeping for the first week. i could barely breakeven if i wasn't sleeping.

this is just going to make it easier for other guys to get action when they try these things. somebody who can actually do this needs to step up.
