Oh how I love the mighty 4BB raise donkament tell on PokerStars. When a donkament player raises 4BB they have QQ, JJ, TT, or AK 100% of the time and they never fold.

Edit: There it is again, 4BB raise and he had AK.

Andy on your bluff with 93o why did you not push the river? why'd you bet so low, giving him odds to call?

p.s. he shouldn't have called, not with the board and middle pair, but you made it easier on him......

I disagree George I thought it was a great call. Maybe that's why I don't play poker anymore though.

I actually was a fine call, but only b/c Andy gave him the odds to make it a fine call. Andy's line screamed of "I have you beat" but the guy still called.....If you don't have a hand you don't want to give the guy a reason to look you up. Make it pricey. Put your tourney life on the line. That'll show you mean business....

But WTF do I know i don't play tourneys.

    It wasn't a bluff, i had a pair.... lol.

Anyhow, I had pushed very recently and shown him a pure bluff, I figured he had hit part of that board and I really thought he'd call a bluff push, so I tried to make it look like I was value betting my ace... He still called tho, oh well. Maybe that's why I suck so bad at these damn things.

Problem is, players in a $10 tournament usually aren't good enough to value bet an ace here. They'd check because they're scared of the 4-straight.

Hold on, there is NO WAY this guy has a "2" in his hand. I checked preflop, which means i could have any two cards. The flop comes 7 high, and the guy leads into me, so I just call, to re-evaluate and see what happens on the turn. He bets rather small again, on an ace, so I raise a callable amount, to rep the ace. He checks the river on a low blank, so I bet about 1/4 the to represent an ace/ value bet. If he pushes over, I can fold with 11 BB still.

I'm not saying my play here was optimal or anything like that, just trying to walk through my thought process as the hand played out.

A deuce isn't a possibility for him but he could very easily have a six, especially if he flopped a pair and a straight draw like 67, 65, or 64.

And he doesn't raise the river why?
