I think the best way to put it is that on any given day, the game is 80% luck and 20% skill. In the long run it's 20% luck and 80% skill. It's like having a magic coin that lands on heads somewhere between 51-55% of the time. You can lose a lot of $ for a while, but if everything evens out in the long run it should all come back.
