Default anti virus and a firewall

recommend an anti virus program and a firewall to me. Nothing too heavy for the computer but the firewall should be able to allow to use some ports at least. I am having some trouble with torrent programs, it is most likely a NAT problem.

software firewalls are not the solution for port blocking. You need to get yourself a router. I have a Linksys cable/dsl router and BlackICE as a software firewall. The software firewall does more ip blocking and software monitoring.

    AVG is the shit.

I run a Linksys as well, and Norton. I've installed AVG on my g/f's computer which runs through the same router and it's all goot.
