I've regularly meditated since I was 16 and it's massively +EV for poker and for life. I feel kind of weird talking about it though. I'd just get a book on it and read tbh.

I was shown basic breathing techniques (which meditation is based) for a minor medical condition on and it's fucking great. Completely chills you out. Thinking about it, I should do it more often.

I grew up in a cult where everyone meditated and I still meditate today. If your looking to remove stress from your life I'd recommend it.

I seem to beleive that poker and meditation can go hand in hand. Ive cme across the breathing exercises thru google which my gf has recommended and they can be easily done at the tables. If I find it really works for me then I suppose illget hooked.

there are lots of other ways to calm down besides meditation. try sitting still with your eyes closed, it produces the same effect.

I do yoga and I would recommend it to anyone. I treat it mostly as a body excercise, but it is a good relaxation at the same time. |

I was learning and practicing kundalini yoga about 5 years ago, then in a few months heard horror stories about how if you dont have a teacher(or whatever they cal it, forgot the word) you can really hurt yourself.

The best book (IMO) is Stephen LaBerge's Exploring The World of Lucid Dreaming. Stanford prof who took some insight from buddhist lamas who did dream yoga, along with his own scientific method, as much as you can possibly use the scientific method. He mentions many induction techniques.
