Does anyone hear watch TED videos every week? If you haven't heard of TED, it will probably really open up your mind to check it out. http://www.youtube.com/user/TEDtalksDirector has 350+ videos, and they come out with 3-4 new ones per week.

For those looking to watch a few and don't know where to start, I suggest Anthony Robbins, Jill Bolte Taylor, Richard Dawkins, and Hans Rosling just to name a few.

Basically, this is what TED is in a nutshell: "Inspired talks by the world's leading thinkers and doers." TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design. Almost every single talk I have watched has captivated me tremendously, whether it be about life, motivation, poverty, the internet, the universe, to even ants. Every single speaker should deliver an extraordinary speech because the expectations are very high.

I know Warpe watches them every now and again, but are their any other ted-heads? As soon as I began watching them I immediately went to go see how I could go to a conference. Well, just for one ticket it is $6,000, not including any travel costs, so that is a tad bit expensive for now.

I just got an e-mail about a live webcast of TED 2009, which takes place February 4-7. This is the first year they are doing this. However, the price is still a little extreme by what a normal person may expect to pay for a conference at $995. 10 people are allowed to view the webcast at a time, so it isn't so bad if it would be possible to get 10 people to pitch in. Also, the $995 includes some special gifts which would only go to the registered user, so I wouldn't expect anyone to pay for that as well. Also, this is for a 4 day conference, not just a few hour long event. It would be somewhere between $80 - $90 if I am able to find 9 other people.

Just thought I'd throw the idea out there, also membership is subject to approval, so the sooner the better.

Limited to 10 people max, first come first serve!
