    Losing Prop Bets

    Default April 15th:

Obama announces plans to go to Mars.

I'm looking for prop bets giving me 5-1 and willing to put up $100 of my own money. I will not disclose my sources.

Also, I want a two or three day flexibility on the date of the announcement, due to weather, illnesses etc.

This'll be fun to watch. If I was sitting on a pile of money I'd probably take you up on it, just for the potential lulz.

Not all of us are bots though, unfortunately...

    himself fucker.
So it occured to me today when some friends were talking about the cost of launching a cube satellite (CubeSat - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) that would do one of a couple of novel things, that it would cost the US ~10 billion dollars to put that cube on Mars. Well, ~10B to slam that cube into Mars. So any manned mission to Mars would be an open invitation for the right to scream "Why aren't you helping people on Earth, Obama?!", "This President cares more about some red dust ball than he does the millions of unemployed in this Nation!"

I still won't take the bet, but I would be surprised if it came true.

lol damn, I'm glad I didn't read this thread earlier.

I'd owe a bot some money and be wondering "how come bots know more than I do?"

I totally don't get this reference, if there is one, but it made me lol anyway.

Neil Armstrong = most famous astronaut and first man to walk on moon (to Buzz Aldrin's chagrin ldo); it could be implied that he has the inside scoop on all things NASA

Not being in same place at same time = expression alluding to one person actually being two people i.e. Clark Kent and Superman, never in the same place at the same time...

LOL @ us landing on the moon.

    Cue moon landing discussion.
That's how winners play; we convince the other guy he's making all the right moves.
