It wouldn't be semantically incorrect to refer to a 10bb pot where villain won with a dogged hand when the money got in as a bad beat; however, whining about such a small pot might result in you being referred to as a female animal or body part.

I blame Pascal for moving the Commune back to the top, but on a up note, the idiot filter is easier to use. I can just ban these cumdump fucknots because they obviously can't read what forum is what so they are never going to become qualified posters under our current guidelines.

Also to make this thread worthy of something, does anyone else wonder who the fuck is messaging them when they hear the skype noise on the TV commercials when they advertise for these new phones?

The meaning is changing; "bad beat" is used differently today than it was 10 years ago.

i can't wait for the definition of bad beat to evolve so if you get it in bad, and lose, it's a bad beat.

I hate bad beats. Like when you think alright I'm gonna stop nnnow to keep it going for just a bit more but then you realise it was half a second too late but you ruined it by stopping so you're left feeling like you want to try to get it going again but it's never gonna happen. Nut low.

bad beats, at least online, are always your own fault. i think, and correct me if i'm wrong, the way rng works is it keeps shuffling all remaining cards before it plops the turn/river/whatever down. so when you call allin on the turn, you just need to time it right.
