Your right the first two hours during rebuys is a strange game. Some players dont even look at their cards and go all in. If they lose they rebuy and try again until they hit something! Most players do play very loose in this period and tighten up later though. Occasionally you meet rocks (used to be me!) who never get anywhere 'cause everyone folds when they play anything.

i would think during the rebuy period, if you "speculated" a little, but didn't go completely loose-maniac, you could easily triple or quad up.

p.s. the £ is pounds stirling (but I'm sure you knew that already) - that old currency which the UK population don't want to let go for some reason. £10 = about $16. Bring on the Euro!

i did know is was the symbol for pounds stirling, but in my heart, i know that the real currency in the UK are scones (just as the real currency in Canada are beaver pelts).

Ah but is it fruit scones or plain scones we are talking about here? Fruit scones are much more sought after than the plain variety. There are rumours circulating that casinos in Leeds play poker using Yorkshire Puddings rather than the usual scone currency - shocking!

Afraid I cant comment on the situation in Canada but beaver pelts sound like a good investment. Along the same lines I assume you all play using doughnuts in the US?

Well I haven't got another poker tounament for 2 weeks and I can't stand online stuff as it winds me up with all the river chasers. I'll just have to keep posting on this board to satisfy my poker needs.

Good split - no complaints from me. We did digress a little into suspect currencies which have little to do with poker - apart from the fact you goota play for something. By the way - I'm thinking of hosting a Texas Hold 'em fruit cocktail championships early next year if anyone is interested - minimum entry - 400 pineapple chunks.
