Of course, there's plenty of games I feel like that about and any time I load up a ROM to play one for old-time's sake I get my ass handed to me. I can't believe how hard NES games were.
Basically you just crouch on the left side of the screen and attack. Shadow Link goes full retard and basically runs into your attacks. Honestly it has been so long since I played the game that I don't really remember how hard it was..... but yeah there are a lot of examples of 'NES hard' that are basically ridiculous. I don't play video games nearly as much as I used to but most new-gen single player games are an absolute breeze. The games themselves lend to being very easy and if you get stuck, it's easy enough to look for a guide online. A lot of NES games were designed to be very tough to beat even for us hardcore video game nerds
