It's not that surprising. SNES is console to some of the greatest RPGs, all of which are fairly expansive games: Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Dragon Quest, Fire Emblem, Breath of Fire, Terranigma, etc etc.
SNES is so great. I rarely play from my actual console anymore though, lol. I either emulate or buy through my PSP. But playing from the console has its charm.
