Default The Big Lebowski - 10 years of Hating the Fucking Eagles

    http://www.rollingstone.com/news/sto...de_of_the_dude

Pretty cool articles I thought I'd share.

The Dude is celebrating his 10 year anniversary. How many times have you seen it? I've got to be up around 20. Anyone who hasn't abided, I encourage you to do so ASAP.

I admit to saying "Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man" and "This aggression will not stand, man" in actual conversations. About 1 out of 5 people get it.

even playing "dude, fuck" while watching the movie... it just doesn't resonate with me.

    "You got any leads, man?"

The book "I'm A Lebowski, You're A Lebowski" is a must for any fan. It has interviews with practically everyone except the Coens.

Jeff Bridges does the foreward, in which he remarks on how people have asked him how he'd feel if the Dude ends up being the role he's remembered for...... "I'd be fucking delighted" he says.

One of my top 3 movies for repeat watchability (along with Dazed and Confused and The Princess Bride). I'm probably in double-digits and just suggested watching it again the other night but my gf picked Borat instead (also a solid choice but no Lebowski).

I had actually never seen the damn movie until about a year ago. My friend at work and my boss were always quoting from it and laughing their asses off. He finally brought a copy to work and told me to take it home and watch it. so I got all pumped and blazed one up and was ready to laugh like hell. I honestly think I laughed like twice. I really thought this movie was pretty lame. I know, I know... everyone tells me I'm crazy but honest to God, I thought it pretty much sucked.

Most need to see two or three times IMO. On first viewing, pretty much everyone I know was like "what the fuck?"

At least a dozen times. Haven't seen it in a couple of years now though. Maybe it's time to dig it out again. I think with just one or two exceptions I've seen all Coen Brothers films. Barton Fink is my favorite, but The Big Lebowski will certainly get its place in movie history.

Benny is just a huge flamer. But we can't touch him because that wouldn't be politically correct.

I have probably seen this great movie about 14 times. I have two DVD's of it. My wife thinks I'm nuts whenever she sees me watching it again. She says, "I can't believe that your watching that crazy movie again!" I look at her and just smile.
Another movie that I can watch over and over again is 'Sideways'. I don't know why, I just think it's another classic comedy like Lebowski is.
