Yesterday I picked up KOTOR 2 for $2.50.

Today the only thing I see that I'd be really interested in is Portal 2 for $5, but I already have it. If any of you DON'T have it yet, get it!.

Played a lot of games as a kid on the Commodore
Galaga in the arcade and later on mame.
    Tetris on various devices.
Tomb Raider Series and Max Payne.
Bought a force feedback steering wheel and played TOCA and Rally Sport Challenge.
Bought Need For Speed and never used it.
Bought Flight Unlimited twice, never used either copy.
Still play Age of Empires Rise of Rome.
But the Modern multi player war games just don't interest me.

Meh, I love open world games and I really didn't enjoy Arkham city.

I picked up Torchlight 2 and To the Moon off of the Cyber Monday steam sale. Who has TL2 besides Bikes and wants to play sometime?

I still play angry birds as between the 4 versions, they release new levels just slightly faster than I can 3-star them all during my daily poops.

I'm not proud of this, but I've been drinking.
  21. #21
I can't play games during poops. I never understood how it can take that long to take a shit. I rarely have one that takes longer than 3 minutes to sit down, do my thing, and flush + wash hands.

There are games that only take a few minutes to finish a session. There's one called Wordament in which each complete game is on a 2-minute timer. Think it's just for Windows Phone, though.

Watching someone stand up when the wipe might get messy and traumatic though.

wouldn't be hard for me to like it more than ios. better than android? that would take some convincing. My sisters boyfriend is always talking up his windows phone also. my comment was more in jest than anything.

I don't have an Android phone, but I do have an Android tablet (using it to type this now), so I know it, just not in the form of a phone. I like the WP8 interface and overall functionality better still.

Asus Transformer Prime. It rocks. But my Dad got a Nexus 7, based on my suggestion, also made by Asus. For a 7" tablet, it's the best value for the money right now. You'll love it.

yeah, thats the only downside it has, and its not a downside at all for me. i looked at the asus AT700 and AT300 and liked them both, but i like the form factor (and cost) of the 7" better for what i'll use it for.

Recently re-purchased Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings w/ Age of Conquerors expansion because there's a free online expansion called Age of Forgotten Empires that was recently released.

I was thinking... AoE2? Isn't that game like 15 years old? And NOW there's a new expansion? Intrigued.

Started playing it again. Having fun being ridiculously frustrated. Reminds me of poker.

Comparing it to Rise of Nations/Thrones and Patriots and kind of feeling like AoE2 is more deeply involved strategy-wise.

Anyone else playing an RTS that is well out of date, but still worth it?

I was bored and disillusioned with Diablo III so I found a couple of far superior choices:

    1) Median XL: A super extensive mod to Diablo II that changes and or enhances almost every aspect of the game. Shitloads of new content added and very very fun.

    http://www.medianxl.com/t1589-mxl-ul...ve-v7-released

    2) Path of Exile. It's a free game in open-beta that seems to be far better than D3 and Torchlight, IMO. The level of character customization is super daunting.

    D3 is and was horrible.

I had fun, but it faded once you hit the challenge wall which is the final difficulty setting and then it's just an insane grind for 1/1B items.

I haven't played D3 in forever. I think if it hasn't happened already, they will improve it dramatically. D2 kind of sucked until the expansion when they made a lot of things better. Hopefully that happens again with D3, although many of the problems I have with D3 are really well rooted.

So my laptop isn't exactly a gaming computer so I'm always on the lookout for awesome games that work on low-spec setups, and I read a mention of Deus Ex somewhere recently and it reminded me of how awesome I found the game in high school and yet never got around to completing it, so here I am giving DX1 another run. This is a truly awesome game!

Dudes. Get on steam and look up Stanley Parable. I was browsing around for new releases and this was at the top.

It has a demo and I decided to play it. It was hilariously fun. Kinda like portal but more of an emphasis on the humor and less on the puzzle solving, at least in the demo...we'll see what the game is like but I'm more than willing to shell out $12 for this. I was laughing hard at times.

woah, buddy, that's a bit of a commitment.

I usually play short games of tf2. They're awesome because you can get your rocks off in like 3 minutes and then roll out. Plus tf2 is about fps skirmishes as one-hit kills are rare and specific to skill moves like backstabs or scoped-headshots.

I'm also into Rogue Legacy, game is legit. Think Mario meets Skyrim without any of the bs and a bunch of other bs, but this BS is like AS for Awesome.

I have BL2, i played it a bit and never got into it.

The Stanley Parable is excellent. The narrator is hilarious.

I haven't played it myself, but I watched my neighbor playing it. I'm not sure of the replay value, but we had a ton of fun with it.

I played it a bit at my brothers. Didn't play any missions, but it was pretty cool. Having spent time in LA, it was pretty remarkable how accurate the rendering of the city is. That being said, I just didn't really get into it. Going on rampages has kinda lost its appeal to me. Sure it's fun, but it get's old pretty quickly now.

Maybe I'm just burnt out on video games? Haven't really gotten into anything since HL2. I played a decent bit of StarCraft2 as well I guess, but a lot less than I thought I would. *shrug*.

That may have been my problem too Boost. I haven't been able to get into video games at all since poker was discovered. Even though I am not playing much now, I still haven't got back my video game bug. I wish I could find a game that would bring it back. I downloaded tSP demo, I will try it this weekend.

I play maybe 1 game a year max. Last was skyrim and now gtav. But I have to put some effort in before hand, like watch a bunch of trailors and read a few reviews to get excited. Then I find I really get into it. Was approx 30 hrs into gtav before I lost it and I'm just starting again. It's not as exciting as when I was young but it's still fun and morish.

I buy typically about 3-5 games per year. I play almost none. I think the last game I beat was inFamous 2. Only one time through.. i've stopped in the beginning/middle of GTA4, L.A. Noire, Walking Dead, Borderlands 1, Red Dead Redemption, and several others. I purchased Assassin's Creed last fall, and have never even opened the box.

I always buy a couple at the steam sale and then never play them. The only single player game I've played since Portal II was XCOM, which is fantastic btw. I love it when they actually make a game hard to beat.
Other than that it was just SC2 for me since SC2 came out and Dota2 since Dota2 came out. SC2 is just about as good as it gets for RTS and Dota2 is as good as it gets for dota. Both mainly cater to the autistic/ocd crowd. If you are autistic and you're not playing Dota2 right now, I don't know what you're doing.

I just installed the sims 3 with all the expansions not being Into the Future. I can't believe how complex the sims as a whole has gotten during the years. In limited playing, I can't say it's complex good, just complex.
