Finished Tomb Raider. Pretty decent game and worth a look if you can find it cheap. High production values and it runs great even on my (slightly outdated) PC hardware - the whole game is very much GPU bound so any half decent processor should play it fine.
Slightly disappointed with how easy the game was (played on hard), but I think my biggest niggle with this game is that it doesn't seem to know what sort of game it is. The developers call it a survival game but it clearly isn't - one of your first missions has you out foraging and hunting for something to eat, but after that you don't have to eat a single thing for the rest of the game if you don't want to. There are elements of heavy action but they're widely dispersed, I think it's primarily an adventure game at heart - but mostly it's just a vehicle for Lara's origin story. Also there's a disconnect between the cutscenes and the gameplay - frequently lara will be limping, clutching her side, tending a wound etc in cutscenes but as soon as you're back in control her movement is as fluid and normal as ever and it can be jarring
Lots to like about TR though so I'm definitely looking forward to Rise of the Tomb Raider next month
