I'm thinking this is the most technically perfect show on television right now other than maybe Breaking Bad. By that I mean measuring all the parameters by which one would rate a show. Game of Thrones might be more enjoyable at times owing to the source material and the acting but it is far less good than BWE in terms of directing and script.

I randomly watched the S3 episode with Nucky and AR's big fight, one of my favorite A.R. moments:

Arnold Rothstein: It's not alright. Do you think I entered into this arrangement because I value your companionship? You are a convenience of geography and supply. You promised a quantity and a price. *You* have failed to deliver! And now, owing to your inability to manage your affairs in *New Jersey* - a state I have little interest in or affection for - you expect me to start a war? In New York? Where things actually matter?

Also I noticed on the rewatch of that episode that during AR's meeting with Gyp Rosetti in Tabor Heights he notices the newspaper boy and then later gets Benny Seigel to use that as a ruse in the attempt on Rosetti's life later in the episode. Not sure how I didn't pick that up before.
