Wtf, take a trip to SF with her. She needs to change her mind. The bay area is the nuts. SD is also pretty cool, but just has a strange feeling to me for some reason.. LA is awesome too, but not for everyone. As for Boulder, I haven't been, but I'd think to live full time it would be better to be in Cali somewhere, where you can enjoy the ocean, mountains, and a real city.

This. I've only been to SF once, but found that it was an awesome city. If I was to move away from WA that's probably the first place I'd have in mind.

And if you like garlic, The Stinking Rose is the greatest restaurant ever. It's almost worth moving there just for that.
