When polled on issues outside of known political biases, even Republican voters score extremely liberal and libertarian.

A lot of the most liberal things I've ever heard have come out of the mouths of people who think Obama is Beelzebub

Also, this hurt right in the National Pride: "Do you believe the theory of Evolution?"

Peer-reviewed papers should be nationalized as well. Since we subsidize the research, we should have access to it as the public. I was having a chat with my brother who's a geologist fastidiously opposed to the thought that global warming could be our fault.

Gas land and tap water ablaze came up and he said that bacteria was found to produce methane and that water from wells far away from fracking could also be lit on bacterial-farts fire. I was sent to a website from a fracking company to verify this.

I dropped this bombshell on him. Methane Contamination of Drinking Water Accompanying Gas-Well Drilling and Hydraulic Fracturing - ProPublica

Rofl-slammed. His only recourse was to undercut the peer-review process and talk about the slant of scientists.

I wanted to just keep dropping knowledge on him, but most great scientific literature is behind a paywall of 10 bucks for 2 days. Insane.

Killer Gary Johnson ad. I will vote for him or Jill Stein, whichever has more exposure

GARY JOHNSON will END the War on Drugs - YouTube

    Good AMA with him, too

IAMA entrepreneur, Ironman, scaler of Mt Everest, and Presidential candidate. I'm Gary Johnson - AMA : IAmA

Even though I get irritated when politicians back things like "cut govt spending" (because they don't even acknowledge the econ 101 fact that govt spending contributes to gdp, and reducing spending isn't that distinguishable from inducing a recession. Not to mention Obama has cut govt spending more than Reagan ever did), I think he's not corrupt, and the drug issue arguably should be the #1 issue in the country right now

He was in the GOP primaries at first, but later dropped out. It's telling how not-libertarian Ron Paul actually is (he's a paleoconservative) when he wouldn't name Gary as one of his VP choices, despite the fact that most of Paul's supporters love Gary. Paul probably doesn't like Gary for social issues like abortion

Anyways, Johnson is fantastic on social issues, and does have some decent economic ideas. Like his flat tax idea is one that actually could be more progressive a tax than we currently have while not reducing revenues, as crazy as that sounds. That's because our current tax policy is actually extremely regressive. So much so that the middle class (and even lower portions of the upper class) pay more in taxes in the US than in the "heavily taxed" socialist nations with all their welfarism

Lol, I got 84% Delaware voters. This site is rigged.

EDIT: But seriously, I know this poll does as well as it does, but it still aggravates me. How are there exactly as many questions on the Theory of Evolution as there are on progressive taxation (and the question didn't even directly have to do with taxation)? How is it that there are 8 different nuanced answers on how I feel about what gay people do, and the most specific answer I could get for my thoughts on foreign policy was "we should only get involved in stuff if it effects our national security, human rights violations, etc."? Seriously, American political system, stop sucking so bad at knowing what matters.
