    Default Coasteering

Anyone ever done it? Any good? I've potentially got 4 hrs of it as part of a stag weekend.

no, it is a big group of guys hanging around cliffs, leaping into the sea, climbing down ropes over the edges of cliffs, falling on rocks, cracking spines, breaking limbs, serious head injuries, drowning, general cliff/ocean dangerousness. And you have to pay 40 quid to do it. The drinking will follow to numb the pain.

nice - i go down there every year.

If any of the lads you're going with are intersted in wine, I'd recommend a trip to the Camel Valley vinyard. Some of the best sparkling wine (as good as some of the best Champagne) in the world. You can sit on the veranda with views over the Camel river valley and get pissed. Not cheap though.

I wouldn't watch any of those Coast Rescue programmes before you go.....they always seem to be in Cornwall, involving stag do's and cliffs..

The main one - seaside rescue I think - is set in Perranporth, which is the beach I live at. We see all sorts going on down there, the rescue heli is out there all the time. Far more often than not its tourists, so hopefully as I live here I should be ok, it's the other 20 odd guys that need to worry.

I think it's like Coast - Steering but with the flourish of layering the st's into one syllable.
