That'll work fine for earlier rounds, but if you just run the circle when you need to instead of using traps, you can save your money for setting traps later when you absolutley have to. I usually don't start using traps till round 20. round 24 set 2 traps etc...
Also on later rounds holding down the room from the onslaught coming in the non-trap direction will be near impossible unless everyone has a raygun/thundergun, and you won't be done killing them all by the time the trap wears out and then you got guys coming from all directions.
I've been playing mostly ascension lately -- pretty cool map and I find it harder with more tight spaces and way more doors to open before you can upgrade yer gun. The black hole is a cool secondary nade and the multiple landers make the game flow more interesting imo.
