ugh, i need help on getting better. I'm a level 26 so I only have access to so many weapons but I find myself only using the M4A1 with scavenger perk (lvl2) and holographic sight. I need the sight (or at least laser sight) to kill people. I see the FAL will be available soon so I'm excited about that. I don't like the sight on the TAR. I also don't like using non rifles because of distance issues.

I like the fal alot because its a semi auto single shot which helps save ammo. Im using the m16 right now which isnt bad, its a 3 shot burst. Also learn how to snipe. It can be tough using the baretta because of the recoil when starting, but once you unlock the wa2000 theres way less recoil, thats what I use.

For assault perks I use sleight of hand pro, stopping power pro and commando pro with the red dot sight, stun grenades and semtex (not a huge fan of the holographic for some reason)

Sniping I use bling for the silencer and thermal scope, although scavenger is good for resupplying claymores and ammo when you go on a nice run. Also use stopping power, and steady aim pro for longer breath, claymores and stun grenades.

For kill streak I use predator missile (5 kills), chopper (7 kills), and chopper gunner (11 kills). These really let you rack up kills, I just went on a 22 kills streak yesterday, and another game went 28 kills and 2 deaths on terminal.

It seemed like you got a bit better after the first round or two. You'll get used to it soon. And Domination just gives out a shitload of points. I'm trying to get to level 30 ASAP to get that Striker and shoot down helicopters

Then they get a helicopter and rain bullets on me before finally nuking me. And they have better weapons. I can copycat though but that just means I can suck at being them too.

When you're standing make sure it's only temporary ie popping out from behind a wall to pick a head off, sprinting to cover, etc. You'll quickly lower your death rate and pick up a few kills from idiots running around corners right into you.

A new thing I haven't tried yet but I'm noticing a lot of 60+'s doing it is they'll instantly go prone when they start getting shot. It's frustrating as fuck as it makes them so much harder to hit.

If we're giving advice on the game, my advice is to stop staying in the same place after you shoot at/kill somebody (unless you have a silencer equipped). Remember that you show up on the radar as you shoot and your opponents will be running your way the second they see you appear on the map.

If I don't have a silencer equipped, I kill my opponent and either get out of there or run into a dark corner where I can kill whomever chooses to come look for me.

However, I hate showing up on the radar so I usually try to have a silencer equipped and the Cold Blooded perk for my Team Deathmatch. Domination & Sabotage have totally different objectives (even though most players don't play towards these objectives). I usually forget about my kill/death ratio here and go for the flag/bomb with my SMG and my running perks.

Problem with silencer is I am useless without the red dot or holographic scope and if I use the bling perk for both I run out of ammo all the time.

Just played this a fuck ton last night while baked out of my mind with some high school buddies. Pretty much the best FPS ever. Does it make you a bad ass if you've shot some of the weapons in the game? I ldo started out terribad, but by the end of the night I was BOOM HEADSHOT-ing some bitches. My buddy is a level 47 I think, so I was playing with ppl about 90582309583x better than me. We were working on making his ACR less sucky. Started out with just the iron sights, finished with the ACOG on that bitch. Used Stopping Power Pro, Sleight of Hand Pro, and Last Stand. I fucking love last stand, especially against retards who think becuz you fell down, you're instantly dead. SOOOOO easy to rack up points if u pop off 2-3 guys while in last stand.

Does anyone else hate the level with the huge ass house? I either stay outside and get sniped from assholes inside, or I go inside and get sniped by assholes outside. Lose-lose situation for Dustin Ranger. Terminal is the shit though. I REALLY need to get a PS3 though, so I can beat on BooG!

I think the coolest thing Ive done so far is kill two people with one sniper bullet. Lvl 61 now, working on going prestige.

Also got nuked for the first time the other day, which completely blew.

More advice. Focus on a certain area and don't camp but patrol. Best way to think of it is divide the map as you would for domination with flags A,B, and C and then choose one of those areas and learn all pressure points (high congestion, good places to reload, where you're vulnerable, etc. I've been kicking ass as of late following this.

I disagree with this. M16 is a one burst kill to the head and neck with stopping power. Never had any problems with close combat, and if they get real close just stab them anyways.

I'm starting to really like the Scar-H. The iron sights are set so high and there's such little interference that you can go sans scope and use a silencer/m203/HBS/whatever instead. It gives you a lot more flexibilityy in working with your attachments/perk1.

The 20 round magazine takes some getting used to and it pretty much requires scavenger which is fine of course.

I'm pretty useless without the red sight or holographic site. I'd rather have the guarantee of my favorite gun and ammo versus having a silencer, heartbeat sensor, etc. Would be nice to have though.

Yeah, it's a definite trade off for sure. The Scar has hands-down the best iron sights of any AR in MW2 though, IMO.

Granted, I don't think it's quite as good as a RDS/Holo but for AR classes where I don't use one of those, it's Scar all the way for me.

For example, I have a grenade launcher class with Scar+M203/secondary launcher/frag/scavenger/danger close/commando (for corners)

Another is more of a hybrid stealth/anti-air/fighter class with scar+silencer/stinger/scavenger/cold blooded/whatever

For a pure fighting class I have something like this, off the top of my head (I change these things constantly): Famas+red dot sight/shotty/semtex/sleight of hand/stopping power/steady aim

Wow weird I'm completely the opposite. I was glued to my RDS in cod4 but I find myself using the irons as a default on loads of the guns. Sometimes I even roll out with the nube tube rather than the RDS even though it's effectively useless to me.

Anyone able to figure out why the holo sight is > the RDS? I don't like it because of the increased size of the dot in the centre.

Level 21 prestige now, and I got a 25 kill streak yesterday (I havent went for the nuke yet).

Things Ill be doing different this time around is using a pistol more so that I can get tac knife, and akimbo rangers and model 1887s are really sick.

Ive switched up my assualt class to use scavenger now, mostly for stun and semtex grenades. For sniping im using the .50 cal until i get the wa2000. Im still using bling for this since Im in love with the thermal scope and silencer.

Also why do you say ps3>360?

Scavenger is awesome for getting extra grenades and flashbangs, thats pretty much why I use it, not so much for the ammo.

The TAR is definitely nasty in the short-mid range firefights that everyone seems to love. The only thing I don't like about the TAR is that at long range it sprays allll over the place. SCAR is much more accurate, and at long ranges you can just do 1-2 round bursts and it's still nasty.

Plus after using the SCAR for a while, I actually prefer those irons to RDS or Holo sights. I'm sure I'm the minority on that one though. SCAR + extended mags + scavenger = lots of death.

Of course TAR + holo + scavenger is pretty much the same thing, it's all a matter of preference.

I usually try to set up any scavenger class to REALLY benefit from it. Like primary ammo (and/or m203), secondary launcher (stinger, javelin), semtex, and flash/stun all benefit from scavenger. And of course the ammo is nice too. But if you're JUST using it for the ammo, I'd say just bling a weapon or use SoH and pick up a new gun if you have to. There should be plenty of blinged out super rifles all over the place...

Also, marathon for knifing and One man army for raining death (m203 + danger close) and making people really, really hate you both can be useful too.

edit: also, the secondary weapons in this game are so good that it's another reason why you really don't *need* scavenger for ammo. You can just do something like akimbo shotty or silenced pp2000 (automatic, 2 hit kill with stopping power) until you find something you like.

Riot shield (which I don't plan to actively use, but there's no reason why you couldn't)
Any secondary that you can easily get a kill with, e.g. silenced pp2000
Semtex
Stun/flash
Scavenger

The rest is mostly just personal preference. Just get an easy kill with your secondary (or wait until somebody dies) and then gank a rifle. They're all ridiculously good in this game.

Then you just run around with your new assault rifle and you have impenetrable armor on your back because of the riot shield.

I guess you can use the riot shield if you don't mind everybody in the lobby making fun of you and calling you GAY for using it. JK, it certainly is irritating when others use it tbh.

As for the secondary weapons, I definitely wish I began using these earlier to have the red-dot sights, etc. IW did a good job at also having challenges and upgrades for these guns. I've seen some players akimbo these weapons and use them as their primary weapons. Maybe I'll try to use them more often tomorrow.

Also, CBC and I just had a sweet session of Sabotage. I've always loved that game and I do particularly well in them. I think I destroyed the target like four times in a row. WOOT POINTS!
