I just played some games with the TAR and that gun really is beastly. I'm starting to get used to the holographic sight which I never really liked, but it's a lot better than the RDS on that gun. It's also a little bit more accurate than I remember, probably because I've just gotten so much better in the last week or so (this is the first COD I've played).
Anyway I just got done playing a team deathmatch game, I forgot the name of the map but it's the one with the boathouse, mansion, greenhouse, etc. Anyway I get my 5 killstreak for predator, kill 1 with that, kill 1 more, get harrier, and it kills 3 on the bombing run. 11 was set as chopper gunner. I stupidly run out and get killed, but I was wondering, if I got the 11th kill THEN got killed, I assume I'd still have the chopper gunner on my next turn (this happens with my predator missile a lot, unfortunately). Can I then use chopper gunner and just start a new streak, or does it not count after you died? I'm guessing it doesn't count but it would be nifty if it did (and grossly overpowered).
Which kind of leads to my next point. People should carry more anti-air. Like a very common setup is assault rilfe with scavenger.. that is a perfect class to put a stinger on. It's nice when you get to do it, but chopper gunners should not be getting 15 kills or whatever. And obviously some classes need their second weapon slot (snipers for example), but if you die to a chopper gunner or AC-130, then switch to a stinger class, possibly one with cold-blooded.
Another thing that kind of irritates me. Team deathmatch, 30 seconds left and you hear whatever message that pops up "Time is almost up!". And everyone starts running around like a bunch of idiots. I mean it's fine when you're losing and you need to get a few more kills before time is up, but when you are up 3, that isn't the time to go storming the mansion which they've been camping in all game. Arggh..
