Ok guys, I've got a problem and I want to see if I understand this right:

I own a SATA Hard drive, but I'm still using an XP disc I purchased forever ago that doesn't have any SATA drivers on it. Now I was searching the internet for some info on how to create a bootable DVD by streamlining my SATA drivers into an image of my XP and then re-burning that to a DVD.

I'm capable of that, and could probably stumble my way through it, *but* I found a thread that suggested that I could

1: Reformat my HD
2: Go to my Bios and turn off "native SATA"
3: Install XP
4: after full installation use my other CD to install the SATA drivers
5: Reboot, go to my Bios and turn on "native sata"
6: reboot again with no worries.
