To be clear, I don't have a problem with people living on benefits. I'd rather you're a net - to the economy and my taxes go to keeping you afloat than having you starve or sleeping in a ditch.
I have a problem with people living on benefits and being against giving a fraction of those benefits to refugees.
If helping refugees took money out of your pocket, I'd at least understand your point, but it's doesn't.
