Default Different Lines with Bodog, VIP Sports and Nine.com

For the most part, the lines with Bodog and VIP Sports are identical or very close. Today I found one that is different and I took advantage of it.

    Here are my bets:

    vip sports
    22:05 CF ARIZONA STATE -14.5 (-110)
    NORTHWESTERN vs ARIZONA STATE $ 20.00 $ 18.18
    Totals $ 20.00 $ 18.18

    bodog
    Northwestern +15½Football - College Lines - Pointspread
    Sat@10:00p
    Risk Details
    Risked $20.00 to win $18.18

Basically, I put myself in a position to win both bets. If Arizona State wins by 15 points then I win $36.36 (by collecting $18.18 from both books).

If any other score comes up then I lose $1.82 (by winning $18.18 with one book and losing $20 with the other).

Note: I signed up with VIP today and it was very easy. I simply followed the link from our http://nfl-sports-betting.flopturnriver.com/ page. I left the promo text box blank. I deposited $100 with Neteller and then sent an email to [email protected]. After a few minutes I checked my account again and it had $120 meaning they had given me the 20% cash bonus.

Nice try on that ASU game. Doing that can be a very profitable play. When you hit a bet like this the expression is that "the yid hit the middle". Another way to get this is to always check the halftime lines for games you bet. Sometimes you can find a situation there. Say you take an underdog at +4 but they are winning at halftime by 7. You can often now bet the favorite at -X points for the second half thereby securing one of the bets to win and possibly winning both. Many times you can get a 4 or even 5 point window this way while usually only a 1 pt window if you bet both at the start of the game... just a thought.

I like the halftime idea. It is better than a regular insurance bet (you have the lead in a March Madness pool up til the finals so you bet a little straight up on the team you didn't pick to make sure you at least get some $$$) because you can hit both of them.

I'll have to look at the halftime lines. Have you seen any lines for this weekend that are a point or more apart with different books? It could be for the over/under as well.

Eric if you want to quickly check alot of lines go to www.covers.com (i am not pushing this site in anyway, just thought it would be beneficial to you.) They show about 10-15 current lines for everygame. You can easily tell if there is a difference anywhere.

San Diego Chargers +6 (-115)Football - NFL Lines - Pointspread
    Sun@1:00p

    Nine.com:
    Wager type : Straight Bet
    Sport : NFL Football
Selection : New England Patriots 10/2/2005 1:00:01 PM - EST
    Spread -4½ -118 for Game

I just placed the same bet:

    Bodog:
    $50 on Chargers +6 (to win $43.48)

    Nine.com:
    $50 on Patriots -4.5 (to win $42.50)

So, if the Patriots win by 5, I win $85.98.
If the Patriots win by 6, I win $42.50

Any other score, I lose $6.52 or $7.50
