Let's say that your (blank) died tragically by getting suffocated in a pile of elephant shit. Just a huge shit-slide that he/she was caught in while petting some elephant.

If the blank was your brother, would you laugh? You mother? You grandmother? Your aunt? How far removed from you do they have to be before it's funny?

I would say great grandfather or great great grandmother.
