After I saw Addendum like a year or so ago, I tried watching the first one, but shut it off. I just watched the first one now

The problem with Zeitgeist is that it's a mix of absolutely excellent and important conspiracies and trash conspiracies. An example: did US government know about 9/11 and turn a blind eye? Yes. Did they participate its planning in some ways? Probably. Did they control demo the buildings? Most likely not. So much of the truther stuff is just garbage, but it sadly takes away from the reality that corruption is sooooooo deep at the highest level, and things normal people would consider pure evil are actually commonplace there

Regardless of the details, complete corruption and tyranny from the top is a fact. The world is already vastly a totalitarian regime, and virtually every bit of understanding of how societies and psychology works illustrate that the human race is heading down a road that makes the movie Equilibrium look like paradise. Actually, we're already in a place that makes Equilibrium look like Disneyland. The most evil and disturbing things imaginable are already commonplace on a mass scale. But because they're normal and partially isolated to us, we don't understand why they exist and what it means and all that
