    Default Email got scammed

So my trainer_jxxx hotmail address sent out a ton of spam this morning to everyone in my address book. Ad aware, spybot and AVG have found nothing. I changed my password on another computer but is this something that is a mediocre concern or a big one. I use two hotmail accounts on this computer but the other has had no issue as of yet.

FWIW I use comodo, snoopfree and scotty as well but have been getting the odd blue screen but last time I started using comodo I had the same issue with freezing. A format is in the works but I want to look into fixing anything first. My trainer email is out there from all the forums I have used and pretty much anything I register to, but the password has never been tough logic puzzle. My wireless was also used by a wife's friend last night and she is no computer techie.

Any tips before I wipe this bad boy clean, change my passwords and then return. I'd hate to erase the new luckbox I seemed to have discovered this week.

yea it rifled through my address book and when my blackberry started going off every 5 seconds form mail daemons sending back bad addresses I knew something was up. My other email was untouched and it was actually sent from my hotmail, not just using my address.

Not sure what to do but I chnaged the password on another computer for now. I will format tonight.

Does anyone know how secure Blackberries are (I'm assuming very high), or how they transfer passwords when accessing sites?

All I know is that if you have outlook at home, and you set up pop3/smtp to access an on-line account it sends your password as a text file.

    No hindsight for the blind.
Yeah, I got it too. fwiw I use separate email accounts (and passwords, ldo) for every poker account. That way if one gets compromised at least my losses are restricted to the monies on a single site.

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than average. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their mistakes

ii got some nasty spyware last night, and we talked online, but I was also watching hellboy2 on some unsecure site, so I attributed it to that.

We talk on trillian using an AIM account. I wouldn't worry. Plus you didn't answer me last night. We talked on Friday.
